Every day, we get more and more information proving Trump unqualified for dog catcher, let alone president. And yet his poll numbers never seem to drop. I’ve lived 61 years in the US and expected to die here, but now I’m not so sure. Every day, I wonder how it’s possible to live among people who would elect this evil man.

Is there somehow a way to be even more right wing? Because in a few months his views will be considered mainstream in the GOP, and to set themselves apart, GOPer con artists will have to find a way to seem more conservative. This is not right wing enough to pass future purity tests. In a year, Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell et al are going to be nodding their heads and saying they agree with all this, and so to seem fresh and anti-government you’ll need to go far beyond. What’s still out there?

This, coupled with Ryan’s endorsement, presents the Millennials with a challenge calling for a reaction a tad more serious than, “we’ll sit this election out”. Or, “Lets hold a demonstration”. The GOP is playing the game…running the playbook. They are daring what’s left of America to stop them.
As vulnerable as the kids are, I must admit that they have never been exposed to a real, live Fourth Estate. None of them, during their lifetimes, have received consistently decent reporting (outside of dusty old newreels from the past)**.
