“Everybody in there is very supportive of Mark Sanford, and I think that’s one of the things that overwhelmingly they believe that the President is getting bad political advice,” Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) reportedly said after the meeting.
The chief person advising Trump to be a causitc, insulting, lying asshole is Donald Trump.
As ye sow…
The Tallahassee Trail? Wasn’t that the secret escape route for the lucky survivors of the Bowling Green Massacre?
No worries, though. Everybody knows he meant the Tallahatchee Bridge.
Freedom Caucus Fires Warning Shots …
Any word on how many of them had to be taken to the E. R.?
Or maybe it was the Okeefenokee Bridge.
Circular firing squad.
Even so, I’d take cover!
If I may be impolite, the dude’s not running for re-election. What do you care what Trump says about him? Are your feelings being hurt? Do you need a safe twitter space?
Tallahassee, Appalachian, who can remember all these four-syllable place names? Hey, they’re both in the United Shtatesh, close enough. But it’s interesting that we’re seeing little brush fires of GOP pushback here and there. Tough guy Two Scoops can’t make people stop criticizing him. Like there’s blood in the water. Weak. Sad.
For the GOP it’s more important now that Katie Arrington could conceivably bow out of her race… the logical (their logic not mine) choice for replacement will be Sanders.
“It’s just a flesh wound!!”
He got ‘bad political advice’? BS. He is a bully. A demeaning insulting bully.
IF we flip the House in the fall, you can expect to see these bastards begin to turn on tRump.
“…they believe that the President is getting bad political advice…”
They only mince words around Trump. They would have blamed Hillary’s hairdresser if they could.
It’s an ancient belief of authoritarians, going back thousands of years - the King is never wrong or bad, just the advisers are.
The King is always good and great but the evil shifty advisers mislead him! If the advisers are removed everything will be fine.
It must be something inbuilt into authoritarian thought, because we haven’t exactly had kings in this country in living memory. I hypothesize it’s their instincts towards mindless obedience rubbing against cognitive dissonance.
He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
Proverbs, 11:29
Or…they’re scared to death that Trump will turn the mouth-breathers against them next, over any slight, real or imagined. Or just because he can. Or just because he’s bored. Or because he’s always enjoyed pulling the wings off flies. They have plenty of reasons to tip-toe around him and blame his advisors instead.
