Excellent point. That jackass has spent the entirety of his life trying to be accepted by the Manhattan elites and only ever drew their disdain. His entire reason for becoming president was to show up Obama and make him respect him. None of it worked. He’s more hated and disrespected now than he ever was. Instead of being a boorish fool who was barely tolerated by the people of NYC, he’s now probably the most reviled figure on the planet. What’s worse is that the only people who really do love him are the kind of white trash he absolutely detests.

Some twitterversation about this among former WH staffers. Said it’s not a big deal in the scheme of things but stuff like this and the umbrella the other day would have been taken care of in previous admins. They plan these events to go smoothly; they know when you go from outside to inside in a mid-Atlantic December something has to be done with your damn coat. They think it all through. Not these incompetent slobs.
