Itâs not your gaffes that made Colbertâs career, but the things you perfectly intended to do and say. Heâs mocking you, not your mistakes.
uh, sport, it wasnât your âgaffesâ colbert was using to tremendous effectâŚ
jesus, this dolt still doesnât get it.
Well, technically, everything that comes out of Fox is a mistake, but I see your point.
Shorter non-funny man: âYeah, weâre horrible and really easy to make fun of. He should thank us for being such idiots!â
Not so much a mistake as a joke and I donât mean that they are funny. I mean that they are idiots.
None of them get it. That is the funniest part.
To use a word popular with Tea Party types, they are âmoransâ!!!
âHe should write an eight-figure check to Fox News,â Gutfeld said, âbecause all of our gaffes made that manâs career.â
That works out to⌠(scribbles furiously) $1.13 cents per âgaffe.â Isnât he selling FOX News pretty cheap?
Greg Gutfeld?
Who the fuck is Greg Gutfeld??
It would be somewhat charming and even admirable if this had been said in a tongue-in-cheek way with a nod-and-a-wink. âYes, we know we act like idiots, hahaâ - but this clown actually said it sincerely, not realizing why Fox is seen as such a joke to people who arenât the slack-jawed dimwits who watch them religiously.
Dear Fox bubble-dwellers:
Stephen Colbert doesnât owe you, heâs pwned you. Thereâs a not-so-subtle difference you might want to explore.
Yeah, Steve, just remember: YOU DIDNâT BUILD THAT!
âFox News Host: Stephen Colbert Owes His Success To Usâ
Not to put too fine a point on it but ummm⌠noâŚhe doesnât. Satire and parody is an equal opportunity type of humor. Something Fox talking heads would never understand. Stephen Colbert is a brilliant comedian, you guys are hacks whom I would call something other than actual journalists. What I have in mind shouldnât be shared in polite company.
Itâs true!
If Fox hadnât provided such a rich field of malignorance, stupidity, and extremism
Stepehn Colbert would never have reached the pinnacle of perfection in his âseverely conservativeâ schtick!
Conservatives in general donât understand parody. I remember reading that Tom DeLay recommended Colbert for the White House correspondent dinner gig in 2006 because he just didnât get it.
Mama Gutfieldâs whiny boy
Are you serious??
LaughingLoudly!!!
Gutfeld is one a them talking heads at Fox who thinks he knows all, sees all, and is the oracle of all.
Itâs true!
EDIT: I couldnât evidence supporting that claim, but I did find this, which proves he really doesnât get âitâ.

Itâs laughable to think that âgaffesâ were the source of Colbertâs ridicule of the CONservative echo chamber, it was their constant drumbeat of outrageous, arrogant, venal, half truths, innuendo, insinuation, and out-right lies by their mean-spirited, flying-monkey menions that made Colbertâs job so easy and enjoyable to watch.
