I believe the Merriam-Webster dictionary now offers “figuratively” as one of the definitions of “literally,” simply as a result of too-common misuse.
Words, when used correctly, are useful tools. I wish a pox upon those who are too lazy to learn how to use them correctly.

Yes, yes Ablow, Holder should have taken a page from the Ferguson police dept and NOT have shown any understanding of the town’s residents and their feelings & experiences.
A united front is clearly what is needed rather than folks in positions of power trying to reach out and work towards a better society.

The AG’s remarks sounded pitch-perfect to me – very, very helpful to steering energies in Ferguson toward constructive purposes.
Dr. Ablow’s remarks, however, are so tone-deaf and self-evidently driven by resentment and racial animus, they manage to astonish me, even though I realize I should never be astonished by what I see/hear on Fox’s cable “news” channel.

I suspect the good Dr. prolly understands that to the typical Foxx viewer the term “literally” is understood to mean “I am for reals.” Either that or he’s just a paid hack and literally, a douchebag.

What is it with the Reich-Wingers these days? They are ALL BALD (and many have that little mustache-beard thingy too.) It’s like it’s a UNIFORM or something.
I’ve got just to thing to complete their uniforms. A red arm-band with a black crooked-cross on a round-white field. Of course they would all have to wear BLACK instead of their preferred CAMO.
