Discussion: Fox Host To Fiorina: 'Weren't You Just Flat Wrong About That?'

Yeah, why base your campaign commentaries and policy positions on verifiable facts when relying upon innuendo and speculative supposition is so much easier?

straight forward answer: she (and others) are bum rushing the fact checkers. The irony of this was that she got busted by Varney and not Kessler.

Sweet deep-fried Jesus on rollerskates – doesn’t this harpy have a staff to run this stuff by before she starts spewing on national TV? I guess they must be just sitting there going yes Ma’am, no Ma’am, brilliant argument Ma’am, great strategy Ma’am, can I top off your coffee for you ma’am.

It’s hard to argue with that kind of logic. Literally, it’s hard to.

Jim Mattis

The Obama administration did not place much trust in Mattis, because he was perceived to be too eager for a military confrontation with Iran. He retired from the Marine Corps on May 22, 2013.

…

Mike Flynn

On April 30, 2014, LTG Flynn announced his retirement effective Fall 2014. He retired August 7, 2014.

…

Sidenote:

Fiorina might be pushing the point of whether Obama himself didn’t like what they had to say, but two of the men – Mattis and Flynn – likely departed over policy differences, published reporting shows.

Though PoliFact rated the claim ‘Mostly False’, it wouldn’t be surprising if they were looking for the ‘benefit of doubt’ picture, while typing this piece up.

At CarLIE and the Donald’s level they don’t have staff - they have minions. These minions are small, yellow, come with variable numbers of eyes, and speak gibberish. Since she and the Donald don’t really listen to or see anybody beneath them (which is just about everybody), they have yet to realize this…

Maybe she should wear a bigger cross on her chest. She does have that certain martyred look about her, bearing all that weight. Too bad she’s spiritually bankrupt, because no amount of symbolism is going to change how easy it is for her to turn away from the truth, even when its staring her in the face. She’ll just keep on lying. Its seems to be what she does best in her life.

Thanks, that explains it. So, kinda like oompa loompas, but even creepier. Sounds about right.

The president is commander in chief of the armed forces. As such he can install and remove generals at will. It’s in the Constitution, a document that Republican politicians claim to know and love. Fiorina should it in her spare time.

Yet another example of what’s wrong with our modern media. When you have all the facts and you’ve already determined a candidate told an outright lie that with even minimal research would know is a lie, then you don’t have to ask if they were wrong. You can simply lay out the facts and tell them they were wrong.

And what’s with the weird “warrior class” labeling, is this something new floating aroudn GOP circles, beginning to hear more of it lately.

Now I don’t know whether he really was pushing for for military confrontation with Iran or not, but I will say this: Any general that is “too eager” for war is by definition not fit for duty. If that’s really why he retired, good.

The exception that proves the rule?? Almost every time that phrase is used, it really means that the person is admitting that something proves their rule doesn’t work yet refuses to admit it, so they instead pretend that it confirms their rule even when it does the opposite; and Fiorina’s usage only confirms that rule.

More and more, I believe that Fiorina reads Dilbert religiously because she believes Dilbert’s boss is the protagonist and she wants to learn from the master.
