Discussion for article #228166
It is clearly apparent that Regan’s plan to mainstream the mentally ill has placed many of these people on FOX news, especially those with delusions of grandeur. Mr. Carson is exactly the persona and arrogance you would expect to find in many surgeons.
Two fools passing in the night going in the same direction.
"“After looking at Barack Obama and what’s happened with his lack of political experience, over these last six years,”
Didn’t mention I see the SABATOGE from night one ,eh ?
Wallace is actually right in this case. Ben Carson wouldn’t be able to get out of the primary. Heck, Ted Cruz only does as well as he does because he’s about as White as an Hispanic can get…but don’t be surprised if he gets hit with ads attacking him over his father’s support of Fidel Castro and people will remind the voters that his first name isn’t Ted, but rather Rafael.
Or the list of sacrificial lambs, Allan Keyes, Herman Cain, etc.
Well, at least Carson is humble. Oh, wait, no, the opposite…
“I think what is required for leadership is wisdom and the ability to assemble an appropriate team, an ability to listen and an ability to make wise decisions,”
No, that’s the description of a ghost writer for a corporate history.
Leadership is the ability to convince the people who have to do the work that you HAVE made the right decision.
Ben, I want you to run. If for no other reason than to showcase how out of touch with reality you really are. When you allowed yourself to be co-opted with the lunatic fringe that make up the current Republican party, you destroyed any credibility you may have had. Being this desperate for attention is a sad thing to see for someone with such professional gifts.
This report doesn’t include the portio of the interview whereby Carson doubles down on his previous expression of fear that the 2016 elections might be cancelled because of Obama and anarchy, you know. Wallace was giving him a chance to excuse that as hyperbole from a time (not really that long ago) before Carson was actively hinting at running. Such conspiracy-mongering should immediately disqualify Carson from any serious consideration.
On a related note, what are all the RWNJs going to talk about when November 2016 and January 20, 2017 pass and they find themselves still free to roam in society, churches remain open and Christians haven’t been martyred, that there were no FEMA re-education camps, the elections were held and the sun continues to rise in the east? And the Obama family proudly leaves the White House with smiles and waves to Americans. We can all hope it’ll render them mute! Now that would be a miracle!
““After looking at Barack Obama and what’s happened with his lack of political experience, over these last six years, wouldn’t putting Ben Carson in the Oval Office be akin to putting a politician in an operating room and having him perform one of your brain surgeries?” Wallace asked.”
Good frigging god …Wallace STILL thinks Obama hasn’t got enough experience? news flash to Wallace: Obama has been in politics since 1997. That’s 17 years. I’d say surviving Illinois politics as a State Senator would be a trial by fire. Then 5 years in the Senate and 6 as President. And he was handed on day one of his first term an economy in free fall and 2 wars. The economy is largely repaired and we are out of Afghanistan and were out of Iraq (until ISIS showed their ugly puss). I might add those 2 wars were not even on our national budget. Couple that with Bush’s 750 Billion dollar tax cut for the wealthy that blew a huge hole in the debt and you can begin to see why Obama has gone grey.
No experience my ass, Chris
Carson is a fucking joke and fits perfectly on FOX.
Let’s not immediately dismiss Dr. Carson’s chances. We’ve got a black president, so that’s obviously something the country will accept. And we’ve had crazy presidents before, so that’s not an insurmountable hurdle either.
Yet Wallace considered George WTF? to be experienced. After serving 6 years as governor of Texas. (The governor of Texas is the weakest in the U.S. - little more than a figurehead, all power resting with the Lt. governor)
There’s no use in taking umbrage with this. Wallace is just a petty, partisan attack dog masquerading as a respectable television journalist. I know you already know this, but Wallace is just a smirking propagandist asshole, and there’s no two ways about it.
This is an easy one, Chicago. The RWNJs will simply take credit for having forced Obama to shelve his plans for the death panels, the re-education camps and the extermination of the Christian faith. Listen, if these same small-minded yahoos can take credit for forcing Eric Holder – the fourth-longest serving AG in US history – from office, they can certainly take credit for preserving the American way of life despite Obummer’s clear intention to destroy the United States.
You pegged what I was thinking…thanks for posting that.
So now it’s time for someone to step up and tell Mr. Wallace that he “doesn’t really have a chance” of convincing anyone that he’s a journalist.
Gotta love how Wallace tries to pin the lack of progress on Obama, rather than on Congress (where it belongs, and polls agree). So a more savvy politician would have been able to get the GOP to actually do its job in the House? Give me a break. Wallace is as delusional as Carson.
Agreed. However, CNN (I am thinking of you, Candy Crowley.) isn’t any better. They just headlined a panel with the banner “Barack O’Bush” - and then proceeded to have Republican politicos who argued that the President has ignored all of his foreign policy advisors (How would they know this?) by not being at war for the past six years. Candy allowed them to proclaim that the US perception abroad is significantly worse than our time under GWB and the discussion deteriorated in truthfulness, logic, and integrity from there.
