Discussion: Fox Host Goes Off On Clinton For Not Participating In An Interview

Caller ID is my favorite modern invention after antibiotics and that safety-cutter on Stretch-Tite cling wrap.

Good for HRC. One of the big mistakes in Obama’s first term was to back down from the edict that admin officials should not appear on Fox News. They shouldn’t have caved to the pressure from the other so called liberal media. Fox News is a GOP marketing tool and appearing on their shows just gives them the patina of legitimacy. There is absolutely nothing to be gained unless you’re Joe Lieberman…

Wallace is right. He’s a tough and thorough interviewer, whether the guest is liberal or conservative.

I’m disappointed that other comments I see here are merely mirror images of what I see on right-wing sites. I would like to think that we are better than that.

Great job – there’s nothing like going on a big, angry on-air rant against a candidate to really convince people of how ā€œfair and balancedā€ you are toward them.

Here’s a possibility – at the moment, she’s got a few other things more important than appearing on your pathetic shit-stain of a network. If that changes, I’m sure her folks will let you know right away.

Clinton agreeing to go on FOX is akin to an abused wife agreeing to meet with a husband that beats her. Chris Wallace is a disgrace to his Dad’s memory.

Agreed, why would I want to subject myself to every other Benghazi type fake (i.e. made up) controversy type questions.

I’m thinking about this Fox issue in the context of Jeb Bush dropping out of the race, and the handwringing over Trump’s ascendancy. The ā€œmainstreamā€ Republicans have no one to blame but themselves. For decades they’ve been promoting the thesis that government is bad, and incompetent, and a ā€œmy 4 year old could do a better jobā€ notion of government, not out of any intelligent analysis but as a cudgel against all the good that government does. No wonder they’ve assembled such a large cast of amateurs seeking high office for the last several cycles. They don’t respect the job. While Trump is not that far to the right of the mainstream GOP; on some issues he’s not; but when he was this season, they immediately ran to his position rather than stand up for some sense of decency. That only left them to decry his style. Kasich came closest to having some integrity - a far right policy guy who preached civility. As vile as his policy positions are, he does appear to live in the real world. Unfortunately for our discourse, I don’t think that a full throated renunciation of the ideologically confusing Tea Party right from a GOP candidate would result in numbers any higher Kasich’s. Of course Fox built this pandering propaganda machine and it looks like the results have spun out of their control. If we ask GOP candidates to take responsibility for their kinsmen and request they shun and condemn racist remarks, religious intolerance, reject endorsements from white supremacists, than we should expect our Democratic representatives to like wise shun Fox news - the machine that played a key part in bringing us to this shameful point.

It’s a fact that in the TPM office Fox plays all day on their TV so they can report on them.

@Patrick_Hasburgh

As to Clinton, she sounded somewhat hoarse at the town hall the other night in Las Vegas, and maybe she just needs to rest her voice instead of engaging with a passive aggressive bully.

Finally, they’ve found a Hillary scandal that just might stick!

Marquess of Queensberry Rules only work when both participants are gentleman. This is a struggle for the future of the nation, the future of the courts, and the future of hard-won civil rights. We can go back to League of Women Voters Good Government civility when the right is vanquished.

Why in heaven’s name would Hillary want to appear on Fox with Chris Wallace? She has absolutely nothing to gain by doing so. And she has absolutely nothing to lose by ignoring him, or the rest of the clowns on Fox.

I don’t blame her.

Fox is a joke. Why should she waste her time on the no news channel.

And, you Wallace are only a ā€œjournalistā€ in your own mind!

I hope Hillary never sets foot on any faux noise stage!

Chris? She said she’d meet ā€œanyoneā€. You, and everyone else at your organization? You’re no one. That’s all there is to it.

Hey!! I love the box design on Stretch-Tite, but the ones I buy don’t have a slide cutter. It’s still just ā€œgrab the wrap and pull sharply against the row of teeth.ā€ My neighborhood must be too far down-market.

Hillary called and asked me to tell Chris to fuck himself.
