He’s a rich black guy. The other one was poor.
That’s the difference.

Conservatives are so damn weird. It’s like they’ve spent so much focus & energy on being contrarian they’ve forgotten how to be human.
I wonder how you would feel Ms Holder if you were on the receiving end of that left hook ?
“I think it’s interesting that the anti-testicular police are coming out and just taking this guy’s balls and ripping them off…”
Is there anybody who doesn’t believe that a producer wrote this script?
Nobody talks like this and nobody delivers a line so jarringly awkward off the cuff, This was rehearsed.
Even "nattering nabobs of negativism " deserves more respect than this.
Real men don’t hit women. Not only that but his reaction after knocking her out was appalling.
An idiot on fox news? I’m told water is also wet.
What A Idiot.
never heard of tamara holder before. after this typical display of FOX host/guest stupidity, I would guess that’s the reason why I’ve never heard of her before.
You know damned well if it were her on the floor, she’d demand Rice get 25 to life.
You know they’re a real nutjob if they make Hannity seem like “the reasonable one”
btw, the url for this story is comedy gold: tamara-holder-ray-rice-balls
Let me start by saying I totally disagree with this woman’s portrayal of the Ravens and the NFL as “Anti-Testicular Police”. And even more, I totally reject the notion that Ray Rice’s then-fiance “played a roll” in her abuse.
But there’s something that’s been bothering me about the NFL’s treatment of Ray Rice and it’s this. Football is a sport that desires men with violent tendencies and incites those tendencies on a weekly basis for the entertainment of the nation and to fill its coffers. Then when one of those men turns up as a spousal abuser, the NFL acts as though there’s a big mystery here, and it has no responsibility. Does the NFL think Janay Rice is going to have a better life now that her husband has no source of income and is cut off from his community?
I think what the NFL should be doing is forcing any player who is accused of domestic violence into counseling. It should be considered as important a part of his career as his football training. If a second infraction occurs, then and only then should termination be considered.
The other factor the NFL should consider is the wives themselves. They should be offered counseling as well, and if they feel they need it, safe haven.
I understand that “zero tolerance” sounds good politically. But I don’t understand how it helps the women who are stuck in these situations. They usually don’t feel like they can leave, and when their man is down and out, that’s probably when they think he needs them the most, even though it’s also when he’s most likely to be abusive.
Hard to believe that dipshits like her get paid for what they do.
You good with counseling for, say, murder? Think Aaron Hernandez got a bum rap, too?
Does this Mis Holder person understand the meaning of the word “suspension”?
What I’m saying though is that where do we draw the line with just attacking somebody, ruining their life, firing them for life?
Um, hello? Ray Rice will be back playing in the NFL next season, making millions of dollars. He’s already been paid about $22M that can’t be recovered by the Ravens. Do you think he’ll survive the next 10 or so months on that paltry sum, before he starts getting paid again by some other NFL team?
Feel better now?
Somebody’s been talking to Glenn Thrush.
So, I think Sean Hannity is a totally dishonest right wing propagandist who makes me sick on many levels. That being said, one has to say that on a personal level he respects women - if you ever listen to his show that’s obvious. So his comment is not surprising to me at all. Please don’t accuse me of being an apologist for him, because I’m not, but he is absolutely right in what he said in this case as any decent man knows.
The calculus for the Foxheads is simple - if a liberal is for it, they must reflexively be against it. Even in the face of what is clearly the right and just thing to do.
That’s how irrational and petty these silly shits are.
I don’t think she is saying that at all. No one in their right mind can condone what he did. But the point here is that Janay and he have been together since high school and have a history together - good or bad. She married him - they have been trying to work things out. If she has forgiven him, it’s their business and I don’t think their lives should be ruined because of it and because the NFL is trying to cover its ass
You know, usually I can get where the Faux Noise idiots are coming from, who they’re trying to appeal to, and all that, but lately I admit to a certain amount of confusion. Is there really that large a demographic that thinks it’s terrible that you can’t just beat women up anymore? Seriously?
About all I can figure is that this was to give Hannity a chance to look good(OK, better than usual). I feel like taking two showers for saying it, but I’m on the same page with him on this one. Except for the part about “every man knows it”. A depressingly large number of them apparently don’t…
AFA Holder, I can’t even speculate on what her problem is. Stockholm Syndrome? Random Stupidity? Victim of an O’Reilly brainwashing experiment? Who the hell knows…
a more journalistic and helpful angle to take on this story is to ask why victims stay in abusive relationships and how to get help if you are in one. Who here gives half a rat’s ass about Ray Rice’s career?
