Democratic Debates have not started yet. Sanders will in fact get his shot, and I’d rather have that happen later, not now. Sanders will just get lost in the media attention around Trump. When the Dem Debates start, Bernie will be on stage and national TV, and not with 15 other people.

I wouldn’t be so quick to dismiss this as simply more kabuki for ratings. Ailes has been the unquestioned Master of the Republican Media Universe for at least 15 years, and while he certainly wants ratings, he also is a committed Republican who has always had the defeat and destruction of Democrats as his prime directive, going all the way back to his Nixon days. Ailes knows that while Trump is great theater, he also poses a mortal danger to the fortunes of the GOP, at least at the Presidential level.
