What’s amazing is that Carson is quite rational on health care, he has probably a better plan than the ACA, though the Republicans would never back him on it. Carson says:

  1. It should be illegal for insurance companies to make a profit
  2. All catastrophic coverage for any citizen should be paid for by the government.

What 2 does is eliminate the “big payout” for insurance companies, and that is what drives insurance costs up. Take that risk away, and rates come down to very affordable levels.

I can’t think of one legitimate reason why Carson would be a “good” VP candidate. Can he help “President Trump” with Congress? nope Can he help cultivate our relationships with other world leaders? Don’t see how. Can he help candidate Trump get elected? other than a classic ploy to win Blacks (whom they assume are stupidly swayed solely by the color of a candidate’s skin) I don’t see what demographic groups would be persuaded

I have the same question when it comes to someone like Sen Sanders whom I actually like and am proud to call my Senator. How on earth can a man who is not even a registered Democrat (and who has spent years criticizing the party) hope to be able to get legislation passed Congress?
