The obvious reply is that these are exactly the people who got us into the situation where the ban was necessary. You know, by preventing major terrorist attacks on US soil by anyone from the named countries.

Proponents of Trump’s executive order on immigration defend it, asserting a President has unfettered, limitless legal right and power to make immigration policy per statute.
I wonder, does that mean a President could decree women were henceforth banned from entering the nation? Disabled persons? Everyone taller than 5’9"? Anyone born between 1963 and 1966?
Either it’s limitless and unrestricted, in which case all the above could be barriers to entry via executive order, or there is a mechanism to rein in a President’s edict. Which is it?
