Discussion: Former Jeb Bush Adviser Leaves GOP Over Donald Trump

As much as I don’t want another four years of Obama’s policies…

“But I really do miss 10% unemployment and a sprawling deficit, to be honest,” she later admitted to her children, who will be paying for our two wars long after she’s gone.

According to the report, Bradshaw will vote for Hillary Clinton in November if the race is close in Florida.

And if it’s not close you’ll not even vote?

Funny, she doesn’t look like a rat.

Let’s give some credit here—if you work in GOP politics and you take this step, you’re walking away from your career, possibly forever.

Priebus: I build that.
FOX: We did it together.

Wake me when the GOP elephant goes through a trans-species change. (To become the independent mascot symbol–a lemur?)

I imagine it’s like finally joining AA, but seeking sanity, not sobriety.

“I can’t look my children in the eye and tell them I voted for Donald Trump. I can’t tell them to love their neighbor and treat others the way they wanted to be treated, and then vote for Donald Trump. I won’t do it.”

I applaud Ms. Bradshaw’s conclusion here. In this, and so many of the firestorms that Trump has ignited, we should ask all who claim to support Trump to consider Ms. Bradshaw’s observation, look at their own children, and ask themselves if they can in good conscience cast a vote for the morally bankrupt Donald Trump.

Interesting…this one’s different. She says she’ll vote for HRC if necessary. The ‘leave’ crowd usually doesn’t go that far. I’m wondering if we’re starting to see some cracks here or if this is just an outlier.

After years of working with the Bush family and helping author the Republican Party’s autopsy report, Bradshaw told CNN she could no longer look her children in the eye and support the Republican candidate this cycle.

Wow, she wrote one of my favorite books.

“If and when the party regains its sanity, I’ll be ready to return,” she told CNN. “But until Republicans send a message to party leadership that this cannotstand, nothing will ever change.”

When the primaries started, I said that no matter what happens, the modern day GOP wouldn’t go out like the first Whig Party.

I might have to revise that statement.

there are more willing to do the same. The only question now is whether or not its more than just ‘sour grapes’.

Bradshaw told CNN that while she had seen Trump as a “bigot” and “misogynist” throughout the race…

As bad as these things are, they only scratch the surface of what is wrong with Trump having the nuke codes. It is like saying in 1943 “I have been watching Hitler for many years now, and I am concerned that he micromanages too much.”

No, lemurs are cute. It would be more like a chupacabra: a bizarre fiction creature–just like an Independent.

I agree. Every voice that speaks out is a welcome voice.

Dear Sally, or what ever your name is, guess what? the GOP now DOES reflect its values. You guys are reaping 30 years of sowing.

Enjoy your time in the wilderness.

@fourlegsgood
Republican Women For Hillary is up and running. All newcomers will be welcomed. They’re on Facebook, and the founder Jennifer Lim spoke at the convention

For the record I’m a forever Democrat and I can’t possibly imagine not having escaped R clutches long before now if for no other reason than their unconstitutional positions, written mostly men, on reproduction.

Although it seems like old news already having happened several months ago, Christie Todd Whitman, former R governor of NJ disavowed trump and vowed to vote for HRC. We just don’t get to read about R women in this space.

@mattinpa True that. Brock seems to be one of the few who redeemed his sorry ass. It won’t be done easily.

“…she had seen Trump as a ‘bigot’ and ‘misogynist’ throughout the race…”

Bigot?
“Voting for Trump!”

Misogynist?
“Voting for Trump!”

Caught in lie after lie after lie?
“Voting for Trump!”

Rip off workers and small businesses for decades?
“Voting for Trump!”

Mock a POW?
“Voting for Trump!”

Call on Russia to hack our election?
“Voting for Trump!”

Look foolish in front of the entire world?
“OK, now I have a problem…”

Don’t send them into the wilderness–they’d just want to strip mine it, log it, and drill it. Just toss then into the Pit of Despair.
