Discussion: Former FBI Special Agent Asha Rangappa: 'This Judge Don't Play'

Exactly…hope this judge postpones sentencing for the longest time possible to increase Flynn’s agony based solely on this ridiculous stunt.

Flynn wanted it both ways and he’s about to get it both ways.

Judges tend to take what goes on in their courtroom seriously.

Seems all for the best really.

Who are his dumb attorneys? They screwed up.

Bad and why it’s bad.

Is he/they hoping for a pardon?

Don’t play and definitely do hunt. It’s glorious to hear and see.

Absolutely, and I’m hoping this will set a precedent with other judges as these cases are adjudicated. I hope others will say, “You’re not going to come up in my courtroom and play these little Fox News bullshit games.” Dinesh D’Souza and others have played this game too many times before. Take a plea, admit you’re wrong in court, and then run around claiming you were unfairly targeted, tricked into taking a plea, etc. If you’re throwing yourself on the mercy of the court then you need to act like it in and out of court.

I believe that they decided to go along with an idea from the White House, probably though of by Sean Hannity, that if they a orchestrated a large “entrapment” campaign in all conservative media, the judge who in the past has shown some impatience for the Special Counsel, would dismiss the whole thing and seriously damage the reputation of Mueller and the FBI and any other case moving forward will have a huge mountain to climb.

Judge Sullivan doesn’t appear to have any mercy for Flynn at the moment.

Apparently they never considered the possibility Judge Crankypants would be cranky with THEM.

Isn’t Flynn an intelligence expert? Even if the FBI ‘set him up’, if he had been good at his job shouldn’t he have recognized the ‘set up’?

Nor should he. I’m a big believer in holding those in power to a higher legal standard than everyone else. If you’re a cop, a judge, or the former NSA, you should be held to a tougher standard than, say, some low level drug defendant. That’s should certainly be the case when it involves abuse of power. With Flynn, it’s also the arrogance of him standing on stage screaming about locking up Clinton while engaging in criminal activity. It’s time for these people to humble themselves or get humbled by judges.

Funny how out there in the grownup real world, remorse has to actually be genuine, and if you agree to cooperate you need to, ya know, cooperate. It’s not like in the fantasy world where you define reality to suit yourself. It’s like the lesson in the OSC network’s after-school special—stop playing these games if you want any leniency.

Judges, especially federal judges, don’t appreciate game-playing in their courtrooms. A judge is required to ensure there are grounds for a guilty plea. Flynn was trying to plead but with his fingers crossed where everyone could see them. He was playing way too cute and deserves to get slapped down by the judge.

What are your standards for coffee boys? I personally would like him back in prison.

Thank you. I feel better now.

10 years for that alone! On top of 50 for his treasonous crimes.

I’m not sure “humbled” is the right word for what they need.
