The news just gets better

Even without legal damage, the bridge scandal has inflicted considerable political damage on Mr. Christie. He has fallen to his lowest approval levels in all the major New Jersey polls, and those same polls show that most constituents do not believe he is telling the truth about the lane closings. He has, however, seen a rise in the percentage of people who think he is a bully.

He has fallen in national polls, too, especially as Republicans such as Jeb Bush and Scott Walker have laid claim to some of the ideological ground, and the operatives and supporters, he had hoped to own. And his > presidential ambitions appear to be on hold because of the investigation; as it has dragged on, he has pushed off the dates when he said he would announce his plans on seeking the presidency. (He now says May or June.)

So I’ve read that the 1pm press conference will announce indictments against Kelly and Baroni, but does that mean there definitely won’t be an indictment today against Christie?

Christie will now have to decide whether he wants be labeled as CORRUPT or STUPID …
but it would seem that neither is a liability when seeking the GOP nomination!

From the latest NJ article:

Wildstein will be released on a $100,000 personal recognizance bond in return for his cooperation with the government.

Hahahaha!!

This is all moot if Wildstein has an unfortunate “accident” in the next few weeks.

The link says this has been linked to Christie’s office. We knew that a long time ago. The actual news is the indictment, etc.

Big news will be linking it to Christie, though that will be hard without some kind of documentation (email, text, etc.). I doubt Christie gave the order (even he is not that stupid), but the key will be if it is shown he knew his people did this before he said he did. That would be a huge deal.

NOOOOOOOO! I know you’re correct. It is just that I want it to be unthinkable right now. I don’t want anyone pissing in my Cheerios.

Christie was planning on attending a $2500.-$5000. per person fundraiser hosted by Maryland Governor Hogan who Christie supported. It’s been cancelled because of the prevailing political winds, that is they’re going south.

Others here will have better humor than I can come up with but I just keep thinking about how that stunt endangered lives! Scum.

there was a time when people would have done that for him - back when it seemed like Christie had infinite power and if you did not take the hit for him - you would have been toast - but Christie has now been eaten by his own vile ego & he is hemorrhaging clout - and will be unable to persuade people to jump on grenades for him.
