Uh…he’s an Obama supporter? Uh…he supported Hillary Clinton? Uh…he’s an angry Democrat? Uh…fake news? Uh…he’s against strong borders? Uh…

LOL my first thought. Serious brain teaser even for President Goodbrain.

To have a General come out and say the sitting President is immoral and a liar, and that he would never work for such a person would be astonishing at any other time in our history, but instead, has been normalized by Trump’s erratic and traitorous behavior.

Wow…hopefully this will open the eyes of some of those vets in the recent poll that thought donnie was a good leader…

Not thinking(?) trumpistically, my good man.

Obviously, this person wanted a job in the Ttrump administration, and began setting up a fake news operation back when Obama was in the WH.

But Trump, being a very stable genius, saw through the ploy, and declined to hire him. Because he hires only the best.

As much as I think Trump is a liar with no moral compass whatsoever, and a world-class bumbler when it comes to foreign policy, I would dearly love to hear just one of these “we need to stay the course in Afghanistan” people explain what, exactly, the desired outcome of this conflict is. And I don’t mean some Kumbaya bullshit about an enlightened, democratic, stable, secular government.

Thanks retired general McObvious. Man that was a great Michael Hastings (RIP) article that lit his ass up…

Hey I have been a TPM reader since it’s inception. I have been reading the comments but not making any remarks for almost all of that time. I bought PRIME and now I do leave comments. But I still don’t know all the workings. Where do all of you go when the front page stories don’t have any comments going…because they are old and the thread dried up? Doesn’t happen a lot, but long weekends and holidays, the front page has pretty much frozen.

I don’t know about the others, but I usually just jet off to Antibes.

See down at the bottom of the page where it says TPM Article Topics next to a beige square? Click on that, it should take you to the topic list. The most recent thread (the one where someone most recently posted) will be the top article.

I keep the topics list bookmarked and just work off of it.

@misterneutron - damn - wish I’d know about that

Former General.

Just be careful that you don’t let a ‘bes’ and an ‘Antibes’ ever come in contact with each other - they’ll annihilate each other, giving off a burst of energy and a photon…

Actually, I think you keep the title upon retirement:

Obviously not the kind of general moron would include in his list of “my generals.”

I once made the mistake of calling Mueller a “former Marine” and was gently admonished once a marine, always a marine. I thought the same would apply to attaining a rank as high as General.

As soon as I saw it was McChrystal I thought, “never mind…”

One can only hope that where the generals go, the troops will follow. If enough real military guys start telling GI’s that this particular Commander in Chief is working against America’s best interests, maybe a few less hats will get signed on the next presidential visit (not that I expect many more visits).
