Discussion: Football Star Apologizes, Pledges Donation For Posting Image Of Dead Cop

Has he been fired yet?

Head trauma, roids, and fame. The perfect combination for a superstar asshole amidst a group of asshole superstars.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day was first observed as an official national holiday in 1986. Crowell was born in 1993, and there is no doubt that he personally attended numerous MLK Day assemblies and programs in the course of his education. On top of that, Crowell grew up in Georgia, King’s home state.

Apparently, he wasn’t paying attention to (or forgot about in the heat of the moment) King’s strategic and philosophical insistence on nonviolent protest.

Crowell fucked up, but I don’t think what he did merits excommunication from the league.

If there are any balls in the management and ownership of the Browns, he should be suspended for 5 seasons without pay.

A typical sports thug who excels in very few ways.

Management made him do it.

You can off your friends but … love is always saying you’re sorry.

I gotta say, thats a cardinal sin. A problem with Twitter is the people don’t get time for a filter between stupid impulse and posting, but that was f*&king sick…not in a good way.

A 2-year, under 4 yards per carry, under 700 yards gained per season, 5’11" 190 pound running back on a 3 and 13 NFL franchise that hasn’t made the play-offs for 15 seasons, is NOT “a star”, and NOT likely to ever again play for a team owned by the brother of the GOP governor of Tennessee and a former college roommate of GOP Tennessee US Senator Bob Corker.

There’s always the Canadian Football League, Crowell. They don’t have a big gun violence or any social violence problem up there, they got universal medical care coverage, they don’t have our hang-ups over skin tone or our slave history, they’re polite, it’s not nearly so crowded, and the pay’s less but the careers tend to last longer. You’re gonna love it (cuz you’ll have to).

Shaking my damn head

He should be kicked off the team.

That pic has been making the rounds in social media. I can’t understand why those posting it would think it would do anything other than end up hurting their community.

I happen to know the owners quite well. They’re old-fashioned Republicans—a vanishing breed—and they don’t suffer fools gladly.
I’ll be surprised if he’s still on the team next month.

The guy is an idiot, but let’s be clear - that’s not a picture of anything real. It’s basically a cartoon.

And really bad art on top of that.

nope

its 2016

They will probably leave Crowell’s fate in Hue Jackson’s (the new HC) hands. However seeing how the word ‘Manziel’ still likely gives Haslem nightmares…it wouldn’t be surprising if Haslem might attempt to influence the outcome.

It would be smarter to let the GM and the Coach have their say, but shrug

why?

Josh Gordon was suspended for a total of 29 games. You want him struck for 60. At last check, he isn’t Aaron Hernandez.
