Discussion: ‘Foot In The Door’: Prosecutors Penetrate Trump Org With Subpoena To CFO

Perhaps, but the Trumps are not above using an employee’s name on paperwork without feeling the need to involve him, or even let him know.

ETTD: “Everyone Trump touches is demeaned.”

If you ever want to feel small and unappreciated, work for Spankee. It won’t take long for him to remind you that you are just a servant and worthy only to be thrown to the wolves when he needs a scapegoat.

Guarantee you that that’s what Weisselberg’s defense will be.

Given your experience, in your opinion, does this sound like ‘just a bookkeeper’ to you?
Sounds much more involved than just number crunching.

If this drinking game involves alcohol, you’re done for.

You know, they only need to find a witness or two, or perhaps a photo or two of, say, the board of directors meetings, with this doofus in and the house of cards collapses.

Spankee and his group have never, ever, ever had to deal with a situation where half the world is searching for evidence. Their usual modi operandi are not going to carry them as far as they did in the past.

Buckle up, should be a fun few months now.

This guy is pretty much a mob accountant. He won’t say anything unless he flips.

Weisselberg was the accountant, the chief accountant, for a family business, going back to Fred Trump. Consider the wide range of Trump family businesses and the probable high volume of transactions into and out of family business and personal accounts. Doesn’t matter what title Weisselberg has; they could call him a bookkeeper in that he “kept the books,” but if he that’s what he did, he knows the flow of funds.

And that’s where the good stuff is, in the flow of funds. Let’'s see the Sources and Uses statements at the entity level.

I’m guessing it’s all written down somewhere, just a matter of finding the real books and not all the others they show the various authorities.

The accounts are always the first ones shot in mob flicks.

I mean, this guy wasn’t a rainmaker; he didn’t bring in business. He might not have initiated anything illegal, but he damn well knew about it all. If it touched Trump funds, he knew.

Donnie is getting cornered. The footage of him walking across the lawn yesterday was telling. He looked more hunkered down and more angry than usual. I think he’s going down. But I really do worry about what he will do whilst in the throes of real anguish.

“Campaign trial” is an excellent Freudian typo.

I’m just wondering about the historical significance of the T rumpp crime family’s activities here in America. Will he ever achieve the personal notoriety similar to our remembrance of Al Capone? Will the Dotard be remembered in history as a notorious criminal, or as an ineffective and corrupt POTUS? Or as this nation’s most notorious traitor? Will his Presidential Library be built in Scotland, or on Ellis Island?

Yes, actually, in the same way that Popodopulous was just a coffee boy.
