Discussion: Flynn Departure Divides Hill GOPers Between Pushing For Probe Or Defending Trump

Let’s impeach? As in us and the Republican in Congress? Ain’t going to happen. They would rather make sure Trump signs all their supply side and Religious Wrong legislation and hold the Flynn treason evidence over his head to get it done.

I loved this. Thank you. Another good laugh.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), chair of the House Intelligence Committee, jumped on board soon afterward and called for a probe into leaks about Flynn’s communications with Russian officials. He did not push for a probe into what the White House knew about those communications, however.

I think he meant plugs instead of probes…

This makes me think the bottom of the DC Donald’sCesspool is getting closer… it seemed to be bottomless until this week.

BTW Flynn is just a diversion to lessen the glare on Stephen Miller… or so I heard.

Well, their legislative pipeline does seem to be a bit “stalled” at the moment. We’ll see if they’re successful with their Roto-rooter attempts to clear this scandal off the table.

It would be bad enough if Russian interference in elections was isolated to the US. But it’s happening in European elections as well. The threat isn’t just to American democracy (which would obviously warrant intense investigation on its own), but to Western democracy as a whole. We’re Americans. When it comes to defending democracy, we should be at the front lines.

The only viable explanations are that Chaffetz/Nunez have been compromised, OR that they don’t give a shit about democracy. They need to be recalled.

There sure are a buttload of problems whenever Republicans are in unchecked charge. They always find new ways to fuck things up.

Please don’t disparage Nixon like that. He was merely a crooked, lying, vulgar and paranoid president but even he stopped short of treason.

Hell yeah.

Like the whole comment x millions - like you I believe this is part of one concerted effort and program to disrupt the stability of the west.

It’s weird. We have no problem trying to force democracy down other countries’ throats, but when it comes time to defend it, crickets.

Oh hey…interesting tidbit: Flynn’s twitter account has been reactivated today.

It’s the fucking Tea Party - they don’t see democracy the same way that Democrats and even traditional GOP see it.

BTW How do you access the tilde stuff…?

I’d prefer to take over the House, then blackmail the bastard with investigations. President Pence has an ugly ring to it.
Or:
Step 1. Take over the House in 2018.
Step 2. Elect Nancy Pelosi as majority Speaker
Step 3. Impeach both Trump and Pence.
Step 4. Have Nancy become the first woman president
Step 5. Watch the exploding heads on the right.

What the president needs is some one to go over some guide lines about what is legal or not since he seems to have no fucking clues. Will he pay attention any length of time much less understand is the big problem he’ll have.

Most likely leaker would be the guy next in line for his job, i.e. Mike Pence.
