What she and the Republican misogynists are doing is trying to apply a criminal standard to a social problem. Many times sexual abuse can’t be proved beyond a reasonable doubt and often garden variety sexual misconduct doesn’t rise to the level of crime. What women are asking for is for men to be held responsible for their own acts even if they don’t rise to the level of rape or sexual assault.
Frankly what the #MeToo movement demands is that men treat women with respect. If they aren’t willing to do that and if criminal prosecution is impossible they should be afraid they will be shamed.
The right is arguing that giving women the power to shame powerful men changes the social balance, and opens innocent men up for charges that can’t be defended. To a certain extent that is true, but if multiple women come forward with similar tales of abuse, or if the single charge is supported by some corroborating evidence even if it doesn’t rise to the level of admissible evidence, I think society should be willing to shame the creep.
Please notice that she never said “Show the evidence” during the Birtherism Lies & Hoax that she clearly supported or when her peeps were shouting “Lock. Her. Up.”
All men and women know some men can’t keep their hands to themselves, especially young and drunk ones. Just like all people white and black know black people are not treated equally just because of the color of their skin.
Dumb doesn’t even do justice to Melania. Dumb and hateful gets a lot closer. What she doesn’t get while parading around in her colonialist costume and offending decent people is that you can be sexually assaulted without any evidence showing. Take President Rump for example: if he backs a woman against a wall and grabs her pussy or gropes her breasts, there will be zero “evidence” unless there are other people in the room. I’ve always wondered how Melania can stand being next to such a piece of filth, let alone sleep with him. Now I know how: nothing he brags about is sexual assault in her tiny little self hating brain.

If it was just money, plenty of guys in NY had that.
[/quote]In fairness, we’re probably talking about a lot of money. And it’s not like there’s a host of Ari Onassis wannabes waiting offstage,
Forgive the unforgivable understatement, but this isn’t Camelot.
OT: Why now in addition to the weekly errors does the login just drop every few hours…a couple of times in the middle of entering a comment… is this another forms of censorship??? or just incompetence.
To be clear, I’m saying that the contempt and disgust (just guessing here) she feels for her lord and master make us involuntarily want to like her, but she’s still pretty clearly about as awful as a model who marries a loutish unattractive rich slob would tend to be.
So what if you’re 15 and traumatized? You should be more responsible than your attacker.
And imagine if Kavanaugh’s accysers had geld on to evidence for 35 years.
Maybe with Kav on the court, they’ll debate whether to take away women’s right to vote. After all, we are hysterical, crying, and shouting when confronted - oh, whoops, that was the guy. Oh, and the estrogen-fueled angry mobs. Can’t be expected to make a rational decision.
She’s well past the prime age for modeling. She evidently has little future without The Donald. If the country is lucky, she’ll have little future with him, too. Unless she counts visits to his prison as quality time.
