Dixon said he deactivated the account because he’d “seen stories in the past about people getting inundated with nasty tweets and comments” and “didn’t want to deal with that.”
Kind of ironic, when you think about it. God forbid the gentleman should have to read a nasty tweet directed at himself.

Being that I’m a technological know nothing (what would a Bear know anyway), I find it hard to understand how so many twits are sent by someone other than the account holder.

From refusing to own up to his own stupidity and blaming it on a mysterious person sitting next to him, to deleting his account because he “hears” people send mean tweets…like he just did.

Most of my posts here are actually sent by my Miniature Pinscher , Cali (California Girl). All of the snarky ones, anyway. She sits in my lap and then a tiny paw comes out of nowhere and hits reply. She’s become very rude and impudent and I’m considering obedience school.

Ah yes,it’s people who don’t think Trayvan Martin was a thug who caused his own death by attacking an innocent man that are the real racist ones.
This is a line that gets pushed on all kinds of message boards and stories. It’s the new reverse coy racist card that certain groups are pushing and it seems Dixon fell right in line with the talking point. I bet he also thinks every black man shot by the police deserved it and racism only exists against whites too.

This is funny. TPM goes to great lengths to shield us from the gutter language by adjusting its headline. But then uses the nasty word twice in its story. Is the word less offensive in lower case?

It does happen that accounts get hacked and bad posts get sent. There have been several high profile cases of that in the news recently.
But it doesn’t happen nearly as often as the excuse gets used.
