Look, over there, a squirrel!!
Yea, and the squirrel says can you spell obstruction?
Skeletor mad, Skeletor delete.
How is that not obstruction of justice?
Wow, can’t even fake that this was OK to do.
Rick Scott should go to jail!
Lock him up, lock him up . . . .
So, if I lose power at my house, Call 911. Got it.
I’m sure the police, fire, ambulance and 911 folks would be thrilled, and say something like, oh I don’t know…“Call the power company and if that doesn’t work, call a government agency to see about getting an emergency generator.”
FL Gov (Racist-R): Emails were on Hillary’s server. Not our fault.
the nursing home could have taken the people to the hospital across the street…however; they are paid by MEDICARE for the ‘occupied’ beds on a daily basis.if the people are in the hospital., MEDICARE pays the hospital for x days…MEIDCARE cannot pay 2 places for the same patient…it pays for where the person actually is…its the law…
For some reason, I’m thinking “Breaker Morant.”
Just to make things clear: the messages were left on Gov. Scott’s personal cell phone. I get the “staff deleted them” thing but I doubt it’s true.
Perhaps not. Unless there was a “do not destroy” order made against those voice mails he’s free to delete. Right now I don’t think they are involved in any legal process and therefor it’s not obstruction to delete. Sure as hell CYA but not obstruction. Fail as well. Deletion only works if it keeps folks from ever knowing the calls were made, We know so deletion takes on a different meaning.
Thank goodness they at least weren’t emails on a private server because…sorry, I still haven’t been able to figure that one out.
Give Scott about three days into this story before he fucking yells “BENGHAZI!!!”
Not the first time. Remember, Scott’s company was fined $1.7 billion (yes, billion) for a Medicare fraud scheme.
if those calls were returned, where are the phone logs that show when?
Sounds like Rick Scott is running as the Republican candidate for President.
Heck of a job Scottie!
I may be mistaken, but I thought I heard a news story indicating that in the lead up to the storm or during it, Scott made a public statement that if people could not get the help they needed in a critical emergency they could call him directly and included a number.
Now the nursing home DOES have a bad track record as does its owner, but we are dealing here with the specifics of what happened. If the home was having trouble getting help from the power company and said…“Hey the governor had a number and said to call if it is an emergency…let’s try that,” and they called four time and the governor or his staff then happened to delete the calls, that could be an issue if the governor’s office was charged with failure to assist…especially when they put out a public statement telling people to call that number. This clearly was an emergency. Was the governor’s office under ANY obligation to respond when it had promised to do so?
