Discussion: Fire Reported At 9/11 Memorial Site In Pennsylvania

Pittsburgh station KDKA described the fire as “major” and reported it has burned three administrative buildings. A spokesperson for the National Park Service, the site of the memorial, said no injuries had been reported.

There were three administrative buildings there? WHY?

Had no idea. Good grief.

Why do we need a visitor center?

So what? Here’s the park.

Looks like one is a visitor shelter, probably another one stores artifacts, and I’m sure the staff needs a place to hang out. Big deal. Certainly a worthy memorial, a lot of people died, and many on that plane did their best to try to take it back.

Jeeeez.

To make it like EVERY other National Park or Memorial.

Well, that’s certainly the line we were sold.

A memorial to millions of innocent dead people - which is what I think whenever 9/11 is mentioned.

Probably was NOT an accident.
Where was Darrell Issa all day yesterday and today??

Right, all the tapes were really “made up”, etc. Thousands of people in on it. All a big conspiracy!!!

Oh, please, go play with your toys.
Millions? Really? Millions?

That must have been a much larger plane than what the 9/11 Commission Report indicated. I smell a cover-up.

Chelsea thinks the gubbermint did 9/11…not too bright. Morons like this always try to hijack threads about 9/11 and spew there “hey man, all you sheep don’t know Dick Cheney really did 9/11” sophomoric idiocy. And I refuse to let these jackasses post that nonsense without rebuttal.

It’s way too early to speculate. Really, it would be irresponsible.

So here goes:

I remember there being quite a bit of controversy when it was built about the frighteningly Muslimy shape of the tree plantings. They arced, you see, like a crescent. Or an arc, which can be calculated algebraically, so there’s that, too.

So you can take a leak.

“Ah, but I’m and outdoorsman, and I can whizz in the woods!”

Fine. So Mrs. Outdoorsman can change a diaper without pine needles.

My Birfer is a bit rusty, but I believe chelsea is saying that the 9/11 attacks themselves were a memorial to the millions of people killed by Amerikkka.

He also thinks the government did 9/11. He is either a kid or mentally challenged.

No, nerd. Not one of those.

We don’t need another national park to celebrate the third Bush administration’s failure that day.

I’m talking Iraqis. And hundreds of thousands. Sorry, I exaggerated.

Their mistakes were way before 9/11, they did not heed warnings. But what mistakes did they make that day? I’m all ears. You said we were “sold a story” about Flight 93. So, what really happened? I’m all ears.

And the Memorial is for the people who DIED that day clown, not for the Bush Admin.

You tell me the story. Let’s roll.

93 was likely heading for the Capitol. Airfones and cell phones were used by passengers (all logged), and the people on the plane then found out they were part of a suicide mission, they tried to take the plane, and they crashed. Story is backed up by audio tape, etc. Any problems with that? If yes, specifically what are they?

And what is your theory kid?

You’re talking to the wrong person. We need to move past 9/11.

Hopefully, that’s happening.

Let me know when there’s an Iraq/Afghanistan memorial for all the people who died as a result of those wars as a result of the people who died in this country on 9/11.
