Discussion for article #244751

And Bill would have left Hillary long ago if she were anything like you.

So, you admit that Hillary has stronger feelings for her marriage than you do?

“Look, Bill and Hillary have craved power their entire lives. They’re entire lives have been about amassing power. They have used every position they have ever had to use or gain more power,” Fiorina continued. The premise called back to her repeated refusal to give a straight answer when asked in a Thursday night interview if the Clintons have a “real marriage.”

…and you, Carly, are in the race to promote world powe--------uhhhhhhh, I mean, world peace!

This is just so weird. What is the point? OK, Bill is not a faithful guy. Hillary is the only one who can pass judgement on that. Some would say she is an idiot. Some would praise her for saintly forgiveness. But the public policy implications, and implications for Hillary’s candidacy, are nil.

It’s just weird.

“I have been called many mean things in my time. The b-word particularly. I don’t know why people do that. Was it something I said? Did I not treat these inferiors and lowlifes with sufficient respect? They’re so mean to me.”

I would have become a suicidal junkie if my stepmother was like Carly Fiorina.

So in CarLIE’s world it is a good thing to toss a marriage in the trash. So much for the sanctity of marriage the right wingers are always yammering about.

Not to mention the Christian value of forgiveness.

Yes. And if my miniature pinschers had fins they’d be 1957 DeSotos.

So, Carly, neither you nor your second husband who is also on his second marriage can lay claim to a 40 year first marriage for the Clintons. What say you as to superiority? And if you want to comment on marital fidelity, look to your co-candidate Donald Trump.

Weird. There seem to me to have been far more political wives who should’ve left their husband on the “family value” Republican side (with some notable exceptions like Jenny Sanford).

Some meaning you, perhaps . A woman is not an idiot if she loves her husband or choses to forgive him for his indiscretions. That is a natter between the two of them. I have heard so many people say they would have left him if he were their husband, but sometimes it’s not that simple, What he did was beyond stupid mostly because he was President of the US and to not understand what a precarious position he was putting himself in was unbelievable for a man as smart as he is supposed to be, If every married woman divorced her husband for infidelity the divorce rate would be even higher than it is,

So, she’s upset that people were mean to her, so she can use that as an excuse? I can just hear my grandmother … “if someone told you to jump off a cliff, would you?” Well … here’s a cliff, Carly, please be my guest (but please, can the bitching on the way down … it’s getting old).

But at least she didn’[t have to worry about looking like her

Not at all clear why she or anyone else thinks this is a line of political speech that will win you votes for President.

At some point, one of these Republican candidates will get a little self-respect, but so far I’m not encouraged that it will happen before November.

What’s this about? Fiorina has a say in everyone else’s marriages? I can’t tell if this just reveals her contempt for Sec. Clinton, or if it reflects a broader issue that she lacks judgment, and just can’t control what comes out of her mouth. Good to know, I guess, for her pursuit of public office.
