OK, so what is the Justice Department going to do about the Ferguson Police Department? Looks to me nothing will be done to rid Ferguson of those officers who routinely violate people’s Constitutional rights.

Oh, relax. A report like this is necessarily a prelude to a civil action against the town. They’ll be given a chance to enter into a consent decree, but I doubt they’ll be willing to make the kind of fundamental changes the Civil Rights Division is going to insist upon and they’ll end up with an order that’s a lot more draconian than the deal they could have gotten by agreeing early.
