Discussion: Ferguson Clerk Who Sent Racist Emails: I'm Not Racist, 'They Were Funny'

And she’s a member of the “superior” race? No wonder racism exists–it’s the big distraction. Scratch the surface of these folks and you get a bunch of dolts, exchanging photos of a banana-eating President Obama, proud that, even though they’re stupid and ignorant, at least they’re not some black president with a Harvard degree, a Princeton-educated wife, and two brilliant daughters. I’m sure the Obamas would trade all that in to be white–in the vein of this clerk or, say, the Palins.

Twitty…aptly named.

Since she loves to tell a joke, lets see how funny it is when she becomes the butt of those jokes.

Whaaaaaaaah…“I’m the victim now. They raped me.” Fuck you, lady.

Pahleeeeeeze.

I have to say that she was thrown under the bus being the low person on the totem poll. She did send racist emails, but she should not have been fired. She could have gone to diversity training or suspended for a certain amount of time. She was a scapegoat when the really bad actors still had their jobs. Not defending her, but it seems to be the people on the low end of the wage scale gets thrown under the bus first.

Seems to me you are defending her. I say get rid of them all…no exceptions. Diversity training can’t fix stupid.

Let her learn to reform her racism somewheres else, far away from serving the public. Maybe it’ll help her at her next job. Unfortunately, I’m sure their are plenty of sympathetic racists out there that would be happy to hire her as is…eventually.

“I’m not racist, I just sent along emails that I knew were racists…”

Oh my God, white people, can you please stop embarrassing me every single day.

They weren’t funny but they were definitely racist. IOW - only a racist would think they were funny.

That’s right, YOU are the real victim here.
You were caught red-handed doing something explicitly forbidden in your employee handbook but since YOU thought it “was funny” that made it all right and you were unfairly terminated because “THEY ruined my life…” (nice dog-whistle there.)
Typical dimwitted/entitled Reich-Winger.

I don’t have any sympathy for her especially since she’s decided to play the victim. It was all fun and games when she was fixing tickets for her friends and sending around racist jokes. KMOV let her off easy, they should’ve asked her to explain exactly why she thinks those jokes were funny.

So those were “funny” … not quite as funny as your fashion sense, taste in jewelry and really bad hair. Now THOSE are truly funny. So, yep … I’m not a snob with superior values, I’m just laughing at your “funny.” Now you can come down off your cross and get rid those horrible “poor me” highlights.

She’s just trying to distract the report from questions about her haircut.

All that can be said in response to her clueless whining, “Boo F*cking Hoo!”

Notice that all the racists are perpetual victims of their own twisted logic.
Pathetic.

During her interview with KMOV, Twitty added that she’s had trouble finding work since she was fired as the Ferguson City Court Clerk.

Just like George Zimmerman, she will spend the rest of her professional life with the stink of racism on her and ho employer wants that in the workplace.

If this twit is interested in funny jokes, I suggest she look in the nearest mirror.

The fact that she could actuallly say something as mind numbingly stupid and venal as,

“Sure, they look racist, but even when I looked at them, I’m thinking,
‘God, yes, that is racist.’ But they were jokes. I meant no harm to
anyone or anybody,” she told KTVI. “I didn’t send them out because I was racist, because I’m not.”

is beyond belief. So, in her mind, anything just short of an actual lynching is A-OK. Not racist, mind you; just “funny.” At someone else’s expense.

Unfuckingbeleiveable.

which is why I put “funny” in quotation marks.

I look at her photo and read her comments and…I dunno…I can’t…I just…

By the way, sort of on topic, everyone remember to go on a website where neo-Confederate types congregate tomorrow and refer to the 150th anniversary of Lee’s surrender as the “VV Day Sesquicentennial.” (That’s “Victory in Virginia Day”). It’ll drive them crazy.

But while you’re at it, remember also that when Lee told the 25K diehards who hadn’t already gone home that their idea to take to the hills to wage a generational guerrilla war to give it the fuck up already and go the hell home (I’m paraphrasing, of course), he did the nation and the world a huge favor.
