I just posted something to that effect here; I’m not convinced it’s the case that they’re planning the meeting so they can chuck the speech, but I’d love to think so; and their constituents (and all Dems’ constituents) can make forceful calls to their offices suggesting that. Please. And also suggest that after that meeting we’d better hear that they reamed Bibi’s ass.

is an excellent idea. I’d been thinking they were going to let the seats go empty and yell “Dems are anti-Israel!”, but you’re probably right about what they’d plan. Empty seats would give the opposition the perfect visual to use in ads about how Bibi’s endangering US support.
i can’t find anything confirming their attendance at the congressional meeting; just earlier refusals to state their intentions. yes… such profiles in courage.

If that’s actually the purpose of the meeting, that’s fking insane – who’s creating the bad blood? I hope that’s just for public consumption and they plan to take the gloves off in private; but I can’t say I’m very confident in that hope. And public consumption is important anyway – simply putting it that way helps Bibi in the campaign. How stupid are they? Please, please, constituents of these clowns, please call and voice your outrage. And Durbin’s in leadership (and an Obama ally to boot); we should all call his office and let him know how we feel. Crap, they really need to realize that helping Bibi helps neither country.
