Discussion: Feds: U Of Chicago Threat Was Response To Video Of Police Killing Black Teen

Discussion for article #243278

Well, it looks like the racists have finally found a way to convince some black folks to join in the the age old white tradition of mass school shootings.

UIC said in a separate statement Monday that it was one of its students living off-campus who was arrested.

UIC is University of Illinois at Chicago, which is mentioned nowhere else in the article. A little clarification, AP?

Edit: It was a UIC student who made the threat against U of C.

Gosh, I am stunned by the comments here. If this was a white guy, there would be standing room only in the comments section. Since it’s a black terrorist, all is quiet. Odd, eh?

The terrorist loser who made this threat should go away to prison for a long, long time. What a total asshole. Not only is he an idiot, but he has now done irreparable harm to the movement seeking to curb excessive force by police. I mean, it was bad enough that protesters were using Laquan McDonald, who was high on PCP and wielding a knife on a busy street, as their test case in the first place, but now this? Thanks, jackass.

What he did was wrong, but it doesn’t change the fact that the CPD is violating civil rights by disappearing people to Holman Square. It doesn’t change the fact that the city is paying out close to $50M a year to settle suits.

So shooting McDonald was the only option? Not hardly. A cop called for a taser, before Van Dyke unloaded a clip into McDonald. Then the police tried to cover up. BTW, a 3 inch knife is not illegal.

On that you have a slight point, because there are at least three other cases where CPD has shot and killed people and the City and CPD are refusing to release the dashcam recordings. What you are missing is the amount of time it took for the County DA to charge not only this officer, but Dante Servin. Anita Alverez took two years to charge Servin, then undercharged him, and a judge threw out the case. Months after saying Servin never should have been charged, the Chief of Police is recommended Servin be fired. The coincidence is both the charging of Van Dyke and recommendation to fire Servin happened the same day- a day before the dashcam of Van Dyke shooting McDonald was released.

Well I think most of us are disappointed, what can be said, at least I haven’t seen any post trying misdirect the blame. It seems that it is what it is, we do not support his actions or make excuses for his action.

Are we suppose to blame all blacks for this?

This is an act of terrorism plane and simple, fueled by easy access to guns, and what appears to me by police misconduct ( murder ) and then a cover up.

But thanks for your input.

The usual approach here is to blame all cops for the actions of one.

What has happened is that the actions of black terrorists are considered to be justifiable grievances. That’s unacceptable in the other direction.
