Umm, you see, the regular copy editor would have labeled Corker a (D). But since he was sick the person filling in managed to get it correct, as in (R). Here, this willl help:

ā€œA politically motivated special interest group that refuses to disclose its donors"

I’m beginning to like Citizens United more and more. And after the Clnton super pac does its number on Trump this fall, I’ll be loving it.

While you’re at it, check for any involvement in the slave trade.

Just to be on the safe side. We know how Tennessee can be.

So much for the VP slot.

Labeling a Republican who is engaged in allegedly felonious acts as a Democrat is SOP over at Fox ā€œNews.ā€ They’ve been doing that for years.

Chattanooga is a small town - where Corker was a successful real estate developer and later mayor. CBL is a closely held local company, also in real estate development. All good ole boys - and the network is strong.

ā€œA politically motivated special interest group that refuses to disclose its donors continues to make baseless charges against Senator Corker, and we know that any effort to examine his actions will result in their smear campaign being discredited,ā€ Johnson said in a statement provided to Politico. (Micah Johnson, spokesperson)

So this organization, Campaign for Accountability, is bullying Senator Corker all because Corker failed to include millions of dollars worth of assets on required, yearly financial disclosure statements for the Senate (many years, as it turns out)? Gee, poor baby. Oh, and CFA is not required by law to inform you of squat about their donations – again, by law. Don’t like it, work to change it.

I agree, I live in East TN, having moved here when I retired in 2010, a mistake but I’ll live with it. Over my 45+ year career I lived and worked in many different states/cities big/small north/south and in between. I have never seen corruption by elected officials or persons of trust as I have seen here. Seems that as soon as a newly elected person gets the taxpayer credit card they are off to make personal purchases. The taxpayer usually is asked to stuff 80%, or more. Purchase a new Ford F150, reimburse taxpayers under $10,000 get to keep office, keep the truck and keep the credit card. Another embezzled over $100,000 from local volunteer fire department, payback under $30,000 and still on the job. No penalties, no jail, etc so must be a perk of elective office or other public service position. You bet they in each case were whining about having to payback even a penny, asking public to contribute to a gofund page to help them… wha wha, wahhhhhh

He got hundreds of thousands for his last election but I got zero pieces of election material from his campaign. In fact I never heard a commercial or heard of a speech or anything else that he did. Where did that money go???

I wonder if Harold Ford regrets not adequately responding to the race baiting ad run against him by the Corker campaign.

Wouldn’t you just love to be able to ā€œreviseā€ any document you signed if it was found to be, um, incorrect, without any consequences at all?

Should be a slam-dunk. Not holding my breath.

I usually keep mine on the dresser.

The typical member of congress: rich and getting richer. Deaf to his constituents. And, in this case, made his fortune through, yes, you guessed it, the payday loan industry. Corker is precisely the kind of politician that has made this government so utterly worthless. And the kind of politician who laughs at campaign finance reform. Whey do people get so worked up over the presidency when it here, the U.S. Congress, where the problem rises. Why don’t the rich democrats and independents put their money on congressional campaigns and give the people a shot at controlling their government again. It all seems so utterly hopeless, it is only a matter of time before climate change or income inequality or all of these consequences come back to haunt us in ways we cannot imagine. But don’t ask Bob Corker about it. He’d just give you the politicians badge of honor, the condescending smirk.

The natural follow-up is, ā€œGive me an example of racism on this network.ā€ That’s the tell. She knows damn well her show is on a racist network and she can’t ask that.
