Discussion: Federal Judge: Idaho Same-Sex Marriage Ban Unconstitutional

Now “everyone” will run around getting same-sex married and the moral fabric of something or another will start unwinding until there is no wound fabric at all.
That’s the moral of this story.

Immoral, same-sex, unwinding, running rampant and now there’s not a damned thing that, “small-government” “freedom-loving” “people-first” “God-fearing-Christians” can do about it.

Can’t we just have a, Gay Day, and call it good?

The “people” don’t get to vote on civil rights. That was kinda the whole point of setting up a new country a couple centuries ago.

Another domino falls. The trend for equality is ticking upward.

Just because people “voted” on it doesn’t mean it’s settled.

“In 2006, the people of Idaho exercised their fundamental right, reaffirming that marriage is the union of a man and a woman,”

I’m pretty sure that one of the basic precepts of our nation is that our rights and dignity are more important than almost anything else. And that one group’s rights are not up for another group’s vote.

So, fuck that vote. I disrespect it. I piss on it. I don’t give a good goddamn who voted, human rights, civil rights, are NOT up for the public’s approval. Period.
