Discussion: Federal Appeals Court Makes Surprise Ruling In Texas Voter ID Case

That is the only way Texas stays red. For years they have counted on Hispanics not voting. This year, not so much.

Federal appointees are purged every new administration. I am sure Hillary is going to make changes too.

Yep and pretty soon they won’t be able to stop it - we’re going to be an Hispanic majority state.

It can’t come soon enough.

Trump: That is something even my kids can understand. Hopefully, Melania can as well. Sometimes Liberals do have good ideas.

Why, for RepubliKKKlans, voting is simple. It’s just like doing laundry: You just separate the whites from the colors:

Hey maybe this will push them to actually secede and the rest of the nation can spend the money they’ve been siphoning off without contributing anything other than DUHbya, Goehmert, Cruz, Patrick and the rest of the crazies. (I do realize that there are some normal, sane people in Texas, and they have my sympathy, but I will call Bekins if they need help.)

I wouldn’t give them much credit, as they were under a SCOTUS imposed deadline to rule, and it was pretty obvious how even the most conservatives on SCOTUS would rule (with the expected exception of Thomas - ironically.)

No state can legally secede.

We’re the United States of America. One country.

Actually, I don’t give them any credit as you are correct. I AM looking forward to November and HRC elected and we can get a Supreme Court that actually may understand the rule of law.

I do realize that - it’s just wishful thinking. And maybe they can take the rest of the Republican freeloader states with them.

You had better hope that Dems take the senate. McConnel will refuse to have hearings and a vote…

Playing the long game in hopes that the republicans can take the oval office in 2020…

Edit: BTW, even if the Dems take the Senate, dollars to donuts they will lose it in 2018…

This from people whom I know believe in a certain amount of Socialism.

Sure - I know everybody wants to jettison the red states. If everyone can figure out just how we do that, then whatever.

Don’t give that statehouse any ideas

Gee, maybe the lower court should, I don’t know, REQUIRE Texas voters without picture ID to sign a legally binding document “AFFIRMING” that they are indeed a US Citizen before they can cast their ballot?
You know. Like it was PRIOR to the Partisan Republican Texas House passing this exceedingly discriminatory law specifically designed to suppress MINORITY DEMOCRATIC VOTERS (and written by ALEC)?

The secession question has been decided at least two times.

Both of those instances involved Texas.

Also the affirmative action case …

The operative word there is “decided.”

He was implying going after protected Civil Service employees as well.

One day someone will sue these state governments (TX, WI, KS, AZ, etc) for voter fraud for the GOPs fraudulently taking the vote away from minority voters based upon fraudulently stating it’s to protect everyone from voter fraud.

I was thinking that “trumps” wall needs to be on the northern border of texas…
