That’s what a patriot says and does.

I heard Donald Rex say otherwise. Who you going to believe him or the long established law?

I would not have thought that I needed to say this,” FEC Chair Ellen Weintraub said in a tweet of her statement, which did not name Trump

Of course it did not name tRump… how else will the GOP be able to justify not doing anything. If the FEC Chair really wanted to do something why not levy a fine

“That all depends on what ‘is’ means.”

IS illegal for Democrats? Yup - we’ll go along with that.

IS illegal as in ‘was’ illegal sometime in an unstated past?.. maybe.

IS illegal for the PRESIDENT? - No, clearly not. “If the president does it - It IS not illegal.”

I’m surprised I had to clarify this.

Has she heard of the well established legal principle of IOKIYAR?

This is quite helpful. Maybe we could have a regular white paper or webinar from leading legal luminaries, say Supreme Court justices, or FBI chiefs. Is murder illegal? What about murder for hire? Is it perjury if you cross your fingers? Is it legally considered organized crime if your gang can’t get their act together, and doesn’t even use a planner?

This might be just what the nation needs.

There has been a whole lot of stuff happening in the past couple of years that nobody in their right mind ever dreamed would be possible (and would have laughed at the mere suggestion three years ago).

Methinks there will be many barndoors being nailed shut and barricaded after the coming regime change.

Weintraub will soon publicly express a desire to spend more time with her family.

Apologies on the crudities but “A-fucking-men”.

Printing out her letter and giving to friends and “enemies”, people I’ve known for years and who voted for the outlaw-in-chief.

And Donald also doesn’t know much about how economies work either.

Besides it’s all fake news, he never said such a thing, it’s the liberal media making things up.

What time today is she planning to announce her long-time plans to resign to spend more time with her family?

Thus far no rage tweets on either Derschowitz and this lady – I suspect somebody’s phone has been taken away from him for the day.

I’ll bet you can cut the air in the WH with a knife right now. Also bet a lot of folks who work there called in sick today, and those who didn’t sure wish they had.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall right now. With a smartphone. With “record” activated. :joy:

This is a pretty total ban on foreign involvement, hostile or otherwise.

What I the distinction between help from a Russian national and British national that keeps the getting the Steele dossier from being a violation also?

“Let me make something 100 percent clear to the American public and
anyone running for public office: It is illegal for any person to
solicit, accept or receive anything of value from a foreign national in
connection with a U.S. election,”

That’s really funny. Mueller let Jr. and others skate for doing just this because they weren’t believed to be aware of this law. I wonder if she ever heard of the Russian intervention in the 2016 election.

Americans (Republican opposition, actually) paid for the work on the Steele Dossier.

Nothing says you can’t get relevant information from overseas, it’s about who’s funding it, because that funding is a campaign contribution in effect.

Right, there’s a difference between hiring someone to do oppo - which of course ultimately must be revealed in financial filings - and being GIVEN something as a ‘donation’ by a foreign power - something of value. Which of course, oppo is. Otherwise why pay for it?

In the case of trump making something to do with the law clear as crystal makes no difference at all. He will do what he wants to do law or not. This should be obvious by now to anyone with two working neurons.
