Discussion: FBI, IRS Agents Have Raided Baltimore City Hall And Mayor's Home

She has been under investigation by the Maryland State Prosecutor for the extremely lucrative sale of her children’s books, “Healthy Holly,”

I hector neighborhood kids to eat their vegetables and lay off the soda, but I don't find it very lucrative.

And get your damned elbows off the table!!

Word on the streets is she’s working her next book: Habeas Corpus Holly.

She better hurry. The DOJ and SCOTUS have Habeas Corpus slated for elimination in the next month or two.

It’s time for them to do the same at the White House.

Something tells me the Mayor’s pneumonia is going to be of a chronic nature.

Once in power, anybody can make a hash out of their tenure or be corrupted. It requires constant vigilance. At least Ds can be seen as policing their own and not stooping to vicious, unethical, and norm destroying behavior trying to defend or paper over their politicians failings. However, is this really all about a book deal?

If not chronic, at least of the 3-5 year strain.

She has been under investigation by the Maryland State Prosecutor for the extremely lucrative sale
of her children’s books, “Healthy Holly,” to organizations including
the University of Maryland Medical System on whose board she sat at the
time of the deal.

Grifters gonna grift.

Will she show up for court in a wheelchair, a la Paul Manafort?

$800,000 sounds pretty healthy. She should have converted to R.

Slammer Sally could be fun and instructive.

When will the raids for drump and his family be?

There’s several instances of organizations purchasing large numbers of her books going on to receive preferential treatment from her and her administration. According to the Washington Post, she was paid $700,000 by various businesses and organizations for copies of her book.

It continues to blow my mind that black folks have a better chance of going to prison for the sale of children’s books than white folks do for treason, election rigging, money laundering, and sex trafficking while playing the role of “president”.

Whatever.

She bears an uncanny resemblance to Dr. Suess’ Grinch.

Also, here’s much more detailed paywall-free coverage.

Being from Baltimore, I have little sympathy for mayor Pugh. She should have known better. If Sheila Dixon could get taken down for some gift cards, with all her connections Pugh has no excuse.

This wouldn’t have happened if she had been a Republican. Or white. Or a man.

Does the FBI think this is Chicago or something?

And since Dixon was actually running again (yes, it is Baltimore), honesty was actually part of her campaign. The very best explanation was that she just didn’t see the conflict because she knew her heart was pure, but that suggests an absurd level if naivete, and is still disqualifying (or should be).

I have to note that the picture shown is the least flattering image I think I have ever seen of her. (Someone must have dug deeply for that one.)
