Discussion: FBI Has Repeatedly Interviewed Ex-Trump Adviser Page About Russia Ties

Other than that, he’s a prince among men. He just hates America.

Double Agent. Still actively engaged in Operation Chaos.

He’s the direct line to Pootie that Jared didn’t know about.

I’d like to add, Ryan to the mix.

I think Nance’s point, as I understood it, was that the cover story is recruiting Page was unsuccessful - and that that assumption may not be accurate.

Yes, but I’m afraid to ask for too much and get none.

I don’t eant to be greedy.

Carter Page comes off as a stupid wannabe.

Let’s be clear about one thing when you are dealing with an investigation, particularly when the FBI is the investigator.

There are hours and hours of “Law and Order” on cable TV, and if you have learned one thing from formulaic TV that you will never forget:

Never ever, ever, in any circumstance, talk to investigators WITHOUT A LAWYER!!

And, when you lie to the FBI, you can start to count the years in Federal Prison. OR - you make a deal and everything you know becomes evidence against someone else.

This is not a game nor bean bag. It is real.

Just to be clear, It was definitely not our intelligence whom I understood Nance to be saying he’d been trained by - and sounded like he still was actively working for.

Exactly! Very well-stated.

I think he is a guy who is so besotted with being in the public eye, and playing with (what he thinks of, as) the big boys, that everything else is secondary. He is willing to get himself in deeper and deeper as long as the attention continues. He seems a rather sad sort to me.

Can we add deluded to the discussion? He must be if he thinks this is why they’re talking to him:

In an email, Page told TPM that the agents who interviewed him “indicated that their ‘management’ was concerned that I did not believe the conclusions”

Didn’t spies used to go to jail?

The problem with Page is he has made himself part of the story somewhat willingly. When being quiet and sparse would be the better direction, he is larking about like a Diva at an opening party. In watching him, I dropped the idea he was being a deliberate distraction. He clearly loves the attention and like a junkie is balancing between a nice happy high and an overdose.

Something tells me they don’t believe him.

Trump Rules remember.

Definitely an idiot. Kinda like this guy.

A while ago, I quoted in reference to Mr. Page the old lawyer’s adage that a man who represents himself has a fool for a client.

I now see that I was being very unfair to fools.

Being interviewed by the FBI five times and still not lawyering up, and freely blabbing to the media about it all?

I’m not even sure that blithering idiot will do the job. He might actually be non compos mentis, clearly a danger to himself. What we call 5150 here in Califunny.

+1 Funny

But I think you might be surprised at how much out of those ten hours can be turned into something useful.

Like nails.
