Very sad for the children. The manner of the poisonings and a youngest child named “Zion” make me wonder whether a religious motive was involved here. Truly sad.

I’d consider this less a religious motive than a mental health issue. And I base that on talking to a friend about her postpartum trauma thoughts. Sad either way.
