Discussion: Execution Halted For Texas Accomplice Who Wasn't Triggerman

This would ruin the weekend of many a Texan … if Wood wasn’t white.

Senator Cletus Wood (R - Texas) was thankful his boy was spared. “I thought framing three Mexicans for my son was a bargain”.

“… testimony of a since-discredited psychiatrist that Wood would certainly pose a future risk to public safety…”

These whores who are essentially paid witnesses for the prosecution are a disgrace to their profession. The joke is that they would find a ham sandwich capable of future murders or incapable of redemption.

I’m not sure if this case falls under the heading of “vicarious” or shared guilt, but executing someone who did not do the actual killing seems unjust at best. One would think prison was a more condign punishment.

Way back when England still had the death penalty in early 1960s, , they hanged a guy who was in handcuffs when his accomplice killed a cop while fleeing. Both were hanged.

Thank goodness our pro-life governor, Pope Gregory didn’t have to weigh-in on this decision.

About 15 years ago, Texas had a similar situation, where one guy was the shooter and one guy was the driver. In that case, the shooter was spared a life sentence in exchange for testifying against the driver…

…who was executed for it.

There’s something wrong down there.
