And the beat goes on.
Flailing.
This is the REPUBLICAN house and yet he balks.
I repeat: FLAILING.
Banana Republic of Trumpistan courtesy Paul Ryan and McConnell.
So now what, Gowdy?
Gowdy’s letter was the most aggressive he’s been towards the White House since Trump’s inauguration. It’s unclear how he’ll react.
Well, he was extremely tough when it came to Hillary’s EMAILS!!!, so he should be as tough, or tougher on something as serious as WH security clearance, right? Riiiiight.
“It’s unclear how he’ll react.”
Heh. I can guess how Gowdy will react.
All talk, no action.
I don’t think this is because Porter was so important. It’s because the person(s) and the reasons they decided to keep him around would be embarrassing to reveal. And it could also lead to more questions about all the others they have been giving access to top secret info without proper clearance.
“Gowdy took the White House to task for its handling of the situation.”
I don’t understand.
How does Benghazi fit into any of this?
The non-response comes more than a week after his deadline.
Perfect.
For the record, Gowdy endorsed Trump in May, 2016.
I just don’t understand how is it possible to enjoy in having all these problems, every week he has a new investigation openned,.
People who are the source of all these problems in their life are not “stable geniuses “, they are just evil people who think that they can get away with everything, and very stupid.
House Rs in response: “that’s OK, Sir, just thought we’d ask. Don’t worry about it. Go back to meeting with North Korea without any thought or planning.”
They really, really didn’t want him to do the tariffs. They even grumbled among themselves about it. Didn’t actually do anything, though. Then there was that one time they passed sanctions on Russia with huge, veto-proof bipartisan majorities. Trump blew those off, ran out the clock on them. He acknowledges no oversight. Gowdy and the rest can realize this at their leisure. There’s no hurry.
Gowdy: Fair enough, it wasn’t that important anyway.
Trey sayz BENGHAZI!!!
I actually blame Paul Ryan for this. Under his feckless leadership, the House has given up all of its usual oversight duties. Trump is a bully who can sense weakness instinctively and it’s abundantly clear the House will only cower in fear before him. After all, aren’t the Republicans on the Intelligence Committee ready to do his bidding by shutting it down? Paul Ryan’s House is getting the respect it deserves, and it’s well past time to clean House.
Yes, it’s more about John Kelly’s obvious inability to face his own mistakes.
That’s how a jellyfish shrugs.
