Discussion: Ex-Wife Says Trump Campaign Boss Used Anti-Semitic Slurs

a spokeswoman for Bannon, denied Friday night that he made anti-Semitic remarks about the private school. “He never said that,” Preate said, adding that Bannon was proud to send his daughters to the school.

Court papers say otherwise.

Now who am I suppose to believe, court papers or a stooge paid to be a professional liar to the press?

I have a feeling Mr. Bannon is really going to regret taking this faux “CEO” position…
(and the scrutiny that comes with it).

That alt-right rock he was using for cover at Breitbart must be looking pretty good to him about now.
And no Jews to worry about, there!

“An ex-wife of Donald Trump’s new campaign CEO, Stephen Bannon,”

I love that: “An ex-wife.”

Is there more than one ?

Must admit, I would have been more astonished, if she had said the opposite - apart from the fact that ex-“somethings” not always are the most unbiased sources.

Anti black anti Mexcian anti Jew so whats new here

How is this news? How does Trump have the media in such thrall that shit the guy running his campaign said ten years ago is news?

Besides, the dude ran Brietbart. This is news like “Grand Wizard of KKK said the n word one time back in 1999” is news.

Are there any pictures of this guy where he doesn’t look like a drunk waiting for his arraignment?

That’s something that neither Trump or Bannon or anybody else connected with his campaign seem to have considered beforehand. Whatever media attention they got during their previous career gigs is nothing compared to the microscope you’re under in a Presidential campaign.

Which applies to Clinton as well, only she’s been subject to this scrutiny for 25 years and knows what the deal is.

Are their any pictures of this guy where he doesn’t look like a drunk waiting for his arraignment?

My thoughts exactly. Dude does not look healthy at all.

…but what is THAT, exactly?

The man has zero campaign experience. I don’t mean he has never run one, I mean he has never even worked in one. The ties he had with the media are all pretty much exclusively at the site he used to run…Brietbart…and since he isn’t working there anymore, his influence has probably actually diminished in even that tiny little corner of the internet swamp.

Who else is out there to run this farce of a campaign?

So it was reported that Christie got scratched off the VP short list because he had prosecuted one of Ivanka’s in-laws while a prosecutor.

I am sure this guy is going over swimmingly with the Kuschners.

What are your odds of Kellyann Conway quitting by the end of September?

I could just sit back and be entertained by the improvisational performance art. Except that Trump will likely win in many of the heartland states and in most of the old “South”. Guess a lot of these voters don’ t share my skeptical sense of humor. Hillary will most likely prevail, but worried I am.

With no campaign, the Glorious Leader gets 42% of the pop vote, while with one HRC pulls down 48%, according to 538.

Back of the envelope, it looks like ca 20% of the voting electorate are, let us delicately say, hungering for a cult-of-personality strongman to lead them to triumph Another 20% will follow them reflexively. Someone, probably not the current barker, will figure out how to snag the rest within the next couple of cycles.

I’m not sure we should be calling them the heartland states anymore. If they’re voting for Trump, they should probably be called the hateland states. If we absolutely need to stay with the bodily organ metaphor, then perhaps assland states would be fitting.

Not to my knowledge, which brings up a question:
What’s physically wrong with this guy?
Drinking problem? Diabetes? Heart disease? Meth?

Public figures (and everyone else, actually), no matter how gorgeous, will always have some photos in which they look like crap. (Bad angle, weird expression, off day, whatever.)

But if all your pics look like crap, it’s not the pics. Bannon’s photos all show a face filled with broken capillaries, a few unhealed sores, a rash or something under his unattended stubble (which, along with his stringy hair, implies that he might have personal hygiene issues, although his teeth look well-scrubbed), puffy bloodshot eyes and those lipid deposits you see in people with untreated high cholesterol. He also looks kinda old for a man of his age and assets.
An important advantage of having money in this country is that you can take good care of yourself–you can get medical/dental check-ups on the regular, afford meds, gym membership, etc.
Bannon doesn’t seem to have taken advantage of this, and apparently has no friends who like him enough to get him to do so.

Well, so far there are stories from an ex wife that he had a contentious divorce with, and…a rather iffy circumstantial claim concerning his residential status in Florida in regards to his voter registration.

The voting one doesn’t pass muster in my view, not the least because he didn’t actually ever vote here, and there is a quit reasonable explanation…he moved.

The accusations by his ex-wife during a divorce…well, lots of things get said during contentious divorces. If that is all there is, he easily weathers this, too.

The bigger reality here is, regardless of having an official title that hasn’t existed in any campaign ever, Bannon is going to be part of Trump’s campaign advisers no matter what. All indications are that Lewandowski is still involved with the Trump campaign to the point that he is engaged in conversations and is still receiving compensation; Ailes is apparently whispering in his ears on a regular basis. Hannity has been wearing the hat of campaign adviser for a number of weeks. So Bannon continues.

Plus…what exactly is his role in the campaign to start with? Why even make the official announcement? Bannon’s hire, and weird title, is the piece that gives the most credibility to the notion that Trump is trying to build a TrumpTV media outlet out of his campaign. And in that light…Bannon definitely stays.

It also seems pretty clear that, while the growing Russian ties stories was making Manafort untenable, his attempts at moderating Trump were also a big part of why Trump wanted to see him gone. Conway appears to be playing a similar “Manafort”/moderation role on his behavior…so Trump is going to want to keep a “Let Trump be Trump” voice in the senior circle…namely, Bannon…to counter her.

Which can be somewhat countered by the fact that having lots of money makes it much easier to indulge in self destructive behavior…eat lots of fatty foods, drink to excess constantly, partake in other chemical escapes, pay a doctor to merely treat the symptoms while ignoring the causes, and afford lawyer/PR firms to cover up the really bad problems from such behavior.

Toss in an unhealthy amount of anger and vitriol and you get…well, Bannon.
