Kelly Ayotte was right. HOTOG is a role model.

Does it surprise me that some one took HO’s rhetoric and acted out in the worst way, No. What does surprise me is that it was a college student.
When I was in college I met a few students that were very smart and intelligent, but common sense lacking but don’t remember meeting unintelligent and dumber than a box of rocks stupid.

So it’s not quite the Twinkie defense, more like the Creamsicle defense…

Even back in the day when my daughter started college (just before 9/11, so this is by no means recent), she met up with kids who were in the same freshman class as she was who couldn’t make their morning classes because Mom wasn’t there to get them out of bed in the morning. Even 15 years ago, there was a coterie of college students who totally lacked common sense.

I’m pretty sure that “I’m hateful and bigoted enough to listen to Trump” isn’t a defense to crime in most states.

You’ve got to be kidding! This is a song about melancholy self-awareness, not sending in literal clowns.

Maybe Insane Clown Posse might apply, but certainly not this.

Yesterday’s fistfight in the EU Parliament is exactly where Trump wants to take us.

The UKIP bullyboys (who led the Brexit coup with a Dolchstoss campaign against war-refugee families) are now taking their cues directly from the Beer Hall Putschers – everything but the brown shirts and black boots.

Greece’s Golden Dawn, Hungary’s Fidesz, Austria’s Freedom Party, Germany’s Alternative…

Couple that with Mr. Marshall’s piece on TPM this morning, and history rhymes way too much at the moment.

The ex-student’s lawyer, Wayne Bradburn, had tried to convince a
district judge that the attack was motivated in part by the Republican
nominee’s rhetoric.

Wow. That’s a crappy defense attorney. “Inspired by Trump” isn’t a defense; it is an admission of guilt to a hate crime.

So is Trump going to pay all the legal costs for his deciple???

When he wrote this, it was intended as a synonym for " fools" —

Quite apropos … actually —

In a 2008 interview, Sondheim further clarified:

As I think of it now, the song could have been called
"Send in the Fools". I knew I was writing a song in which
Desirée is saying, "aren't we foolish" or "aren't we fools?"
Well, a synonym for fools is clowns, but
"Send in the Fools doesn't have the same ring to it.[3]

Absolutely. When Trump’s mouth promises something, the Trump Foundation is there to back it up with a check. You will have to have some patience. Attorneys have advised the Foundation not to issue any more funds until the rigged investigations by political enemies are complete. Please be advised that the offer to pay legal costs is not valid without a signed copy of our usual nondisclosure form, may not be transferred, and expires upon the death of the intended recipient.
