Perfect!
So true!
That persistent high pitched squeal you hear is CC’s pucker-string tightening.
Ask not for whom the bell tolls…it tolls for THEE, Gov. Christie. It’s continually amazing to me just how “uninvolved” this control freak alleges to have been, when caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Nope, nope, nope, he didn’t know nothin’ about any bridge closing. He’s a crook, a fraud and a liar. Let’s hope the NJ Democrats come up with a real oppponent when/if this clown runs again. Hopefully, he’ll be on trial or in jail, and be forced out of the race.
Chris Christie, and the entire GOP, have proven “Karma’s gonna get you” is not just a saying. Watching these corrupt, soulless slime balls get theirs is sweetness itself. How many lawsuits does it take to bring down the bully?
This could end up being nothing more than a big CT. This plaintiff has received the GJ transcripts on a basis specific to his claim; that’s a LIMITED EXCEPTION to the general rule against GJ testimony secrecy. And AS plaintiff, it’s totally unsurprising that he would spin what we cannot see and might ever see like a top, in order to promote settlement generally and a bigger number than he might get from a jury. If this case DOES go trial, that’s unlikely to happen before the GOP presidential primary process is over, and AS IT IS, Christie has no serious hope of making it thru to the end of that anyway, but EVEN THEN, it’s open to the trial judge to close the courtroom against the public during anything that touches too close on the GJ testimony.
poor poor christy he actually thought his corrupt government style was just want the republicon party needed in the white house…well it is but he’s not the one who’s gonna make it happen
Especially if you take a step back and consider…he had the election won anyway, there was no point in strong arming some Democratic mayors for an endorsement. But he was so intent on CONTROLLING the story that he had broad bi partisan appeal ahead of a presidential run, that he did so anyway.
So his need for control is so great that he engaged in these tactics, but its completely non existent with regard to actual implementation? That’s a huge paradox.
This is what puzzled so many after Nixon’s crimes had been revealed. He was on the path to winning re-election, Democratic opponents were failing to gain traction and/or imploding, and yet he went after his enemies for some of whom it was a badge of honor. Paul Newman? Really?
…and the hits just keep on coming.
I honestly am beginning to believe it isn’t the specific involvement in Bridgegate that will be his downfall, but the ongoing exposures of the considerable effort and expense he’s gone to, to cover up his malfeasance against his perceived enemies.
Clearly you have followed Watergate because it was the cover up engineered by Nixon that did him in.
And of course, I have to ask…
Is it wrong that I’m smiling?
Do you know something about the good Governor that we don’t?
If true, it would be the only thing about him that could be characterized in that way!
I hope justice prevails and Barlyn gets his job back if he wants it.
Am I the only one who thinks this will actually increase his ratings in the primaries; Victim of Liberal witch hunt.
Since this crime involves multiple people within the same organization, does federal RICO law apply in any way?
When it all comes out, the world will see that Christie is a mix of Al Capone / Bernie Madof / Tony Soprano with loyalty to no one but himself.
Good for Barlyn to sticking with it. Yes grand jury testimony is rarely released. This is one of those rare times, because it’s a case brought by a prosecutor who got fired! What about the “chilling effect” of firing prosecutors who venture into cases the administration they work for doesn’t like?
