Discussion: Ex-GOPer Accused Of Threatening Wife Arrested For Domestic Violence

Discussion for article #235076

It isn’t so much the issue of crazy, because there have, and always will be, crazy. But, dear God, why would anyone, anyone, elect this person to represent them?

Ex-GOPer? Really? Did you check his voter registration card?

Getting fired from his party job doesn’t make him a former Republican.

Who edits this stuff?

Nobody. And nobody is a good editor at TPM

Jesus told them to!

They just don’t make cough syrup like they use to. Ah, the good old days, when four ounces of Robitussin AC would do the trick.

Easy fix: South Carolina Republicans should pass a religious freedom law based upon Ephesians 5:22 - 24.

I put a call into him and nobody got back to me. We talked for about ten minutes.

I take that cough suppressant medicine regularly and have never noticed any effect on my cognition or emotional balance. Even the BS coming from these people is of poor quality.

You sound erratic. Are you on cough medicine right now?

I just want to know what he was on when he was suggesting executing the good samaritans who came down with Ebola.

Dear Todd Kincannon,
It’s not the cough medicine. Please seek help from a mental health professional before your behavior causes irreparable harm to yourself or others. Don’t worry about the cost as it’s covered under the ACA. Thanks.
Sincerely,
The Public

How 'bout that? You hire people for their ability to appeal to the basest, angriest, most spiteful and violent aspects of the right-wing id, and some of them turn out to be base, angry, spiteful, and violent people? “Nobody could have predicted…” blah blah blah.

Another heart-warming story from the party of “Family Values”??

It’s remarkable how, through the centuries, Christians and Christianists have taken their guidance on marital relations and family values from someone who, by his own admission/bragging, seems either never to have been married or to have been married to someone who died rather than live with him:

1 Corinthians 7:8 Now to the unmarried[a] and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I do. 9 But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

But that’s OK. People can trust Paul. He says so himself, and note that he does himself explicitly say that his opinion is just his own, and God or Jesus or Whatever wasn’t involved.

1 Corinthians 7 25 Now about virgins: I have no command from the Lord, but I give a judgment as one who by the Lord’s mercy is trustworthy.

What (very personal) War on Women?

Couldn’t have happened to a nicer personal responsibility taker.

Probably why the GOP doesn’t support the Violence against Women act. This allows them to abuse with abandon.

You neglected to mention his fondness for sending dick pics:

Yet you still seem compelled to come here and make nasty comments. Why read it if you hate it so much?
