Cats. The Internet was built on cats. I shouldn’t have to point this out.
When I bought my annual batch of Girl Scout cookies this year, the cute little girls reminded me to vote Democratic. I wish.
They did? Wow, the gay agenda has really taken hold there. Ohhhhh, you’re kidding. A pity.
I’m leaning toward the maybe not? Hillary was a Barry Goldwater girl. Reversing ideology isn’t always reducible to cynical opportunism. Sometimes people learn, grow and evolve. No?
A movie theatre in the Castro district, ground zero for LGBT San Francisco folks, recently held their annual Sing-A-Long Sound of Music and costumes were encouraged. Other than midnight showings of The Rocky Horror Show I can’t imagine a more popular night at the movies.
There’s gotta be something in there about scales falling from his eyes.
That might be next week. So, stay tuned…or not.
About 15 years ago a then-girlfriend who considered herself a madcap fun person to the point of near-obsession thought we should dress up in costumes for the first Harry Potter film so, rather reluctantly, I did. And I guess it could have been fun except it was in suburban Delaware and not one single other person was in costume. Funny how much of a difference 3000 miles can make.
I defended this kid’s right to express his opinion in public before (when he was still a conservative), and I’m delighted that he came around to reality in record time compared to his conservative ex-peers. If only more adults were so alert and willing to self-correct.
This is what we call “growing pains.” Way to go, and I hope your experience in the Bernie camp will validate that this time you’ve made the right choice!
Paul Kantner of old Jefferson Airplane and later Starship said San Francisco was 49 square miles surrounded by reality. I wouldn’t live anywhere else.
Just want to point out that we all fell in line with Ahmed the clock guy’s grandstanding (which there was quite a bit of, even though what happened to him was also truly outrageous and sickening) because it fit our scenario, and no one was complaining about him getting ahead of himself when he was invited to tour Google and visit the White House even though he is almost exactly the same age (14 vs. 13) as this other kid here.
So my point is that kids that age do have the right to participate, and it’s entirely great should they choose to do so, and how else will they learn except by trying?
Well, enjoy, it must be nice. I hasten to add I don’t live (shudder) in suburban Delaware myself, never did. I live in Wyeth country, baby! Booyah! Timeless pastoral landscapes, at least the few remnants the developers have left us!
Yawn
The late, great W.C. Fields, “Go away kid, you bother me”.
Dorothy Gale said it best. There’s no place like home.
I know he’s only thirteen years old, but man, I really dislike that kid.
Even though he’s apparently on the right side now, he still sounds like a pretentious little twit.
Puberty happens. Sorry, Ted.
@DaveyJones64
MisterNeutron, I gotta disagree. 13 is plenty old enough to start developing political opinions, even though they may change. And Davey, this kid’s going from right to left, which is a much healthier developmental trajectory. He deserves our support
Hey ex conservative kid, endorse dis…
