Discussion: Even Roger Stone Says Trump Should Release His Tax Returns 'Immediately'

I think he is evil looking and absolutely repulsive. As repulsive as HO.

We also know that Trump and his minions have a poor command of the English language. (Undesirable for a President, and ironic given his xenophobia.) When he says that he ā€œcanā€™tā€ release his tax returns while under audit, what that means is that it would be damaging. Once the returns are made public, more people can enumerate all his fraudulent activity. It will also expose his shockingly low income and its embarrassing sources; and prove that he is a liar, a loser, and a cheat.

Probably both, though I donā€™t think Trump would worry about #2 that muchā€“that alone would not be reason to hide his tax return. But I think the Russia Connection is what makes the release of his tax returns non-negotiable. Lots of dark, dirty secrets there it seems pretty clearā€¦

Roger Stone is hopelessly lost in a fantasy that he is Roger Sterling of Mad Men - pursuing every hedonistic aspect of the 1960ā€™s

FOX: Roger doesnā€™t really matter. Putin is still a firm NO and Sir Trump has to listen to him.

One can only surmise that he is about to be indicted for income tax evasion. Iā€™m surprised Harry Reid hasnā€™t started this rumor already. Perhaps heā€™s waiting until late September.

Why does this fucker still get press at all?

TPM, I donā€™t really have any need to protect him, but can you please get a better, or less weird picture to use of him, please?

The only reason Stone made this comment is because Bill Clinton let him know that Hillary has the photos of Stone enjoying himself with the goat.

Nyet?

had a momentary flash of an up date of an old SNL skit - the one where Regan bumbles around - then dismisses the press corp - and with just his staff he turns into Super-Executive framing strategy / issuing instructions ā€¦

so the up date is Trump blustering ā€¦ press leaves ā€¦ phone rings - Trump breaks into fluent Russian - obediently responding to Putinā€™s questions & taking orders ā€¦ reporting on NATOpositions, Location of US Naval vessels etc. ā€¦ of course - what do they say - if it is too real it isnā€™t funny?

Wait, what??

:joy:

Thatā€™s so absurd I think I temporarily left my body.

I think we need to get over this.

The only advice DT takes is his own. He has the best brain and the best words and he isnā€™t going to do anything that he doesnā€™t want to do. To give in on this now would not be winning. His supporters donā€™t care and nothing anyone can say will deter the supporters from their appointed rounds to elect this guy.

So this just needs to go as a campaign controversy.

Trump Ally Roger Stone: Ohio GOP Gov. John Kasich Will Likely Rig Voting Machines For Clinton

Oh my. Hairtrigger John isnā€™t going to react well to that. At all.

Is this is the Bannon-Conway strategyā€”get something of a muzzle on Trump, but Stone gets to let his freak flag fly?

Presumably Stone is trying to create the impression that there is even a vague possibility that Trump might win the election. If there is no chance of Trump winning the election then there is no need for him to release his tax returns. On the other hand, it is obvious that if he releases his tax returns there is no way he can win the election. Classic cleft stick.

Stone is rapidly and singlehandedly putting ā€œThe Onionā€ out of business.

Some people are saying that Trump is into Russian Oligarchs for $millions and that he pays little to no taxes and that he gives little to nothing to charities. Some people are sayingā€¦

I canā€™t think of a more defeatist strategy and attitude, if for no other reason the target isnā€™t the Trump die-hardsā€”itā€™s undecideds, wavering Republicans, and wavering Dems, all of whom still need to be persuaded.
