Give that fool another Big Mac and 3 scoops of ice cream. Throw in some fries and a bowl of butter. Salt all heavily. Thanks.

Nah. He’ll scream ā€˜fake news’ and talk up his upcoming summit with Putin.

He’ll do that publicly. But he’s worried. All that ā€œred waveā€ crap, all the begging people to vote, all that scare talk about Democrats and the border, he’s worried AF. You know he’s hearing it from GOP leaders. You know he’s catching hell about tariffs. Family separation, Miller told him it would redound to his electoral benefit the way yelling about immigrants got him the presidency in the first place. Didn’t work out that way. He’s worried. And he has reason to be.

I haven’t visited 538 in a while. It helps. Kind of. Sort of. Thanks for that.

It tells us that violence was the solution. Defectors during the war were mostly never committed to Nazism. They just hung on. The people who were committed Nazis only had a rethink after their country men were killed, their entire nation bombed to ruins, and their lives reduced to that of frightened, starving scavengers among the ruins.

Interestingly, in White American Youth, Christian Picciolini tells a similar story. Only when he found himself the target of violent assaults for his racist beliefs did he begin to rethink them.

What this suggests is that supporters remain engaged and excited as long as they’re the ones stomping others. Only when they themselves have been brutally and violently crushed does their aggression turn to remorse.

Sadly.

We could use a break. Act of God, miracle, catastrophe, Trumpian tragedy … any or all will be most welcome, I’m not picky.

Whoooo-boy that is depressing.

The flip side is we came together as a team to defeat a world wide threat in WWII. Maybe if the investigation reveals such a threat via a Five Eyes type investigation we can flip a few percent of folks if it’s all packaged as an existential threat to ā€˜murika.

Still gonna need some big and ugly evidence.

Well, two minutes of feeling better was better than none.

The John W. Booth family line rather famously petered out a scant few years after his demise.

538 was the only one that showed the real possibility that Trump could pull it out on Election Day. The other aggregators were all showing 95 percent plus chances of a Hillary victory.

He really is losing his touch with reality, isn’t he?

Just think of me as the fart in the elevator, greeting you on a sunny morning after a good night’s sleep.

Because if a pollster was ever wrong once, then logically they’re never right ever. Poe’s Raven there is pretty much a known quantity, I wouldn’t take that too seriously.

A massive heart attack??? Burst aneurysm? Debilitating stroke? Food poisoning? Rat poison?

No, no. We don’t want him to stroke out or have his heart fry. We want him to see his ā€œempireā€ stripped from his tiny gross hands, see his children in prison and have him die in prison himself. No easy out for this monster. I want him to suffer and finally reap some of the consequences he’s avoided his entire life.
