Done during the slow, sleepy U.S. weekend after Thanksgiving, at the same time as Trump ramps up headline-grabbing rhetoric, border closings, and teargas attacks at the US-Mexico border for no apparent reason, the mid-terms already being over. The timing is not a coincidence, I’m thinking. Putin is making his move against the Ukraine, believing that his puppets in the White House and US Congress will not lift a finger. Time for payback, and they will not dare to speak out against Putin’s aggression.

That sounds about right. I do also wonder if the very loud outrages Trump ordered at the Mexican border at the same time were deliberately timed to coincide with Putin’s aggression at his request. After all, the time for grandstanding for the midterms is past, so why is Trump teargassing toddlers now?

What’s the Over/Under on how long Trump sits on his hands regarding this? And what’s the odds on a side bet that Trump will call Putin a ‘very good person’ and/or tell us how well he gets along with Putin?
One thing the world can count on is that Trump will do nothing about this.
