That’s the case at most conservative sites. I was banned from Free Republic (with an IP block!) while my first comment was in moderation, for the crime of suggesting that separation of church and state was a valid constitutional principle. The effectiveness with which they block any dissenting opinion also makes me dubious of the repeated protestations of liberal sites that they can’t even block spammers.
Incidentally, one site that doesn’t ban people is Tea Party Nation. But I suspect that’s because they’re desperate for anyone to pay attention there, even if they’re trolls. It’s basically just Judson Phillips and the same dozen or so elderly suckers shouting into the void.
