And that is why everyone is not fighting for Trump. He thinks it is a personal fight, not that his job is as a public servant, fighting for the American people. Democracy only works with the ability of all the parties and factions willing to work together and to compromise. He can’t even rally his own party members. He demands support and loyalty when he doesn’t give it. He lies. He exaggerates and prevaricates. He is not a great or even a good President.

Note to Eric Trump: There is a widespread, based-in-actualilty perception that your father is a lying, cheating dirt bag who hero worships the most tyrannical Russian commie dictator since Joseph Stalin…that may be the reason why nobody is going to fight for him. BTW, he cut ties with the GOP when he whacked Reince Preibus, so he should stop whining about feeling abandoned by them.

Personally there are myriad reasons. However, I’m still mystified that anyone would support a person that has publicly confessed, no, bragged, about committing sexual assault. Norms get broken all the time. Guys grew their hair long. Marijuana becomes nominally acceptable. Women leave their homes and get jobs. Mixed marriages are legalized. Out of wedlock births are no longer a tragedy or scandal. Divorce got a lot easier, and more acceptable.
But…does the commission of sexual assault ever become acceptable? How in the hell can that become a behavior that’s a new normal? WTF? Really, just WTF? The President is a sexual predator, and it’s not a disqualifier. Millions of people are OK with it.

That’s pretty obvious, isn’t it? Trump has been pretty clear and consistent on that for years now:

  1. Repeal obamacare
  2. Significant tax reform
  3. Deal with illegal immigration
  4. Rebuild infrastructure
  5. Reduce threat from North Korea
  6. Improve relations with Russia
  7. Disincentivise offshoring of (particularly manufacturing) jobs

People seem to be missing the fact that the people Trumplet is complaining about not helping him are the very people Trump hired.

So far, Trump has appointed less than a hundred people out of the 600 or so seats requiring Senate confirmation. Of the dozen jobs requiring most frequent interactions with Trump, three have gone and not even six months are up.

But he hires the very best people…
