He did the right thing in an impossible situation.
- McConnell deserves the greatest criticism. He could have made this a bipartisan issue, but he chose party over country. Even Russia basically putting in a Manchurian candidate at the head of the US govt. wasn’t a step too far for him.
- Obama could not have predicted what Comey did. What Comey did was unforgivable, and remarkably stupid.
If Obama needs to be blamed, it’s for what Atrios basically complains about. Putting a Republican daddy in charge of a position of importance. He should never have put Comey, a Republican, in a position of power. Dems need to start hiring only Dems when they get elected. Full Stop.
