Not sure it is denial as much as it is the fact he was raised by a man who had little understanding of the concepts of goodness, niceness, honesty or sincerity.
Eric may simply believe that the family shows these traits because he was raised with a warped understanding of these concepts.

Why is this guy commenting and even in the news? He and his brother are running Trump companies and not supposed to be involved in politics and governing. He’s crossed the line more than once on this. The Trump bros should be taken out of the Trump Organization and put the assets into a blind trust run by an independent entity.

The Trump boys need to shut up - did the Obama girls feel compelled to defend their dad? Of course not - because Obama knew what it meant to be the POTUS - and he wasn’t guilty of any crimes or ethics violations that involved Russians or profiteering from his presidency. Donald and Eric - if Trump thought you had any sense, you would be in the White House instead of Jared and Ivanka. Keep quiet and people might not find out how ignorant you are.
