Because the only answer to such talk the media will consider is reducing social security and medicare benefits. Talking about raising taxes or paring back the military is just not acceptable to any of them including CNN and MSNBC.

They never seem to pay a price for their duplicity and hypocrisy. I’d love to see them held accountable just once, but I’m not going to bet the farm on it.

It’s not just the usual hypocrisy either. Remember that the budget Trump and Mulvaney submitted cut virtually every domestic program by a third, and everyone was freaking out about what a disaster it would be. The Republicans in Congress just tossed it in the garbage without even bothering to look at it.

Trump came out today and said Democrats want to raise taxes. Well, yes, that is the thing to do when the economy is expanding. And they want to raise taxes on people who re-invest their money instead of spending it on goods and services. People who buy goods and services fuel the economy, but Trumpublicans will say raising taxes will take money out of the economy. Go figure. Yes, raise taxes on the top 20%, fund infrastructure, health care, education and housing. Healthy smart people who can easily go from home to work makes America great.
